My assistant pastor and I were on the hunt for something that would truly buzz our taste buds—something hearty, flavorful, and worth talking about. That’s how we stumbled upon BBQ & HOT POT in Bolingbrook, and what an incredible find it turned out to be!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly atmosphere and the sizzling aroma of freshly grilled meats. The all-you-can-eat barbecue selection was beyond satisfying—everything from tender beef and seasoned pork to fresh seafood and crisp vegetables, all beautifully arranged and ready for the grill.

The experience of cooking our own food right at the table added a fun and engaging touch. The hot pot section was equally impressive, offering rich broths and a wide range of add-ins that made each bite uniquely delicious. Every sauce we tried seemed to elevate the flavor to another level.

The staff were attentive, quick to clear plates, and always checked in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The place was clean, well-organized, and the energy was vibrant yet relaxed—a perfect spot for good conversation and laughter.

If you’re looking for a restaurant that combines great taste, great value, and great vibes, BBQ & HOT POT is absolutely worth it. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit!

The food and the atmosphere is phenomenal!

My fiance and I had the hot pot and BBQ combo for about $37 per person and the food was great.

There are spicy and non-spicy options for the soup base and plenty of meats for the BBQ side. They also had a sauce bar for things you wish to customize yourself. You also have 2hrs to order what you would like, but I highly suggest getting a little at a time.

This is a great date/group place, heck, even consider going by yourself for a filling meal that doesn’t leave you feeling bad afterwards.

We’ll definitely coming back here soon & thank you to the staff for serving us well ☺️ This is a hidden gem

Regular Price for AYCE Korean BBQ (Dinner, Weekends, Holidays) is now $32.99/person as of 9/28/2025.

To be honest, I had low expectations going in due to the mixed reviews, but overall it was a pretty great experience. Some of their meats were actually great.

Best / what to order:
– Short Ribs → this is one of their best meats. Period. Was pleasantly surprised to be honest.
– Pork Belly (Spicy / Regular)
– Black Pepper Beef
– Beef Slices
– Garlic Shrimp
– Fried Rice
– Decent sauce selection

What we didn’t like/enjoy:
– Beef Tongue: this was way too tough. Hard to chew. Go to Gyu-kaku instead if you want real good beef tongue.
– Ribeye Steak: also very tough.

Price is quite similar/consistent with other AYCE Korean BBQ places you’d find in the Northern/North-west Suburbs.

Place/vibe is so-so. The bathrooms definitely could use a bit more cleaning. But this is definitely your best bet in the Bolingbrook area.

We visit this place quite frequently. It was an excellent idea to have the orders processed via a tablet left by the clients tables rather than the manual checklist. We are asking about the possibility of ordering sushi , nigiri and other dishes but the answer of the employees are quite vague. Their servers are always smiling and pleasant to deal with, even on days when they close early, they dont rush you and continue to make your stay pleasant

Can’t speak for the BBQ side. But the Hotpot was great! Soup base had a lot of flavor. I loved the fact the tables were big enough for everything to be placed comfortably and you weren’t sitting on top of each other, or other tables. The chicken wings were great with a crunch unlike anything ive ever had before. Great selection of meats, veggies, and noodles. Being able to order at anytime via the kiosk helped in the service being speedy and well timed. Prices were the same as going to Happy Lamb or Happy Pot and after today, we’ll only be coming here from now on!

This KBBQ spot is easily one of my favorites. I come here pretty often and the experience is consistently solid every time. Great food, great atmosphere, and top-tier service.

Shoutout to Rhea, Leah, Daisy, and Jay. They’re seriously some of the most attentive servers I’ve had anywhere. They keep a close eye on the table, check in at the right times, and make sure everything runs smooth without being overbearing.

I’ve also brought a large group here before and they were super accommodating. Everything was handled professionally and it never felt chaotic or disorganized, which I really appreciated.

The food quality is always on point and the vibe is perfect whether you’re just trying to relax and eat or you’re there to talk business.

Highly recommend.

Trust me this place is def worth it! We had the all-you-can-eat and I really liked that you can just keep ordering as much as you want using the iPad they leave at your table. For your meats, you’re gonna wanna order the shortribs (pictured), bulgogi, garlic shrimp, and sliced beef. For your sides, make sure to get the get the cheesy corn, rice, lettuce (for wrapping the meat), cheese stuffed mushrooms and the chicken wings (trust me). The staff was really nice and the service was fast. I used to drive an hour away to the NW suburbs to get good Korean BBQ, and I’m so glad I gave this local place a try.

I’ve been to Wabi-Q a few times now. Each time the service has been great. The atmosphere is okay, nothing special. The food is good. The produce has always been fresh and the meats are always delicious. They offer a small sauce bar that also has kimchi. I do wish there were more options at the sauce bar as far as sides.

I’ve already recommended it to many family members.

I highly recommended the seasoned beef and the chicken. The original hot pot broth is delicious and flavorful. The spicy broth is very spicy and I’m extremely tolerable of spicy foods. There are a variety of meat and vegetable options.

There is parking all around the restaurant. If you need wheelchair accessibility, park near the rear or sides. The front parking lot has stairs.

Good quality food and portion sizes. The sauce station was one of the best parts of this experience. The fried rice was the best I’ve had in awhile. The booths for large groups are somehat private, which the introverts with me appreciated. Gratuity is included with the bill so that made tipping a breeze.

Fun date spot with plenty of tasty options. We got the AYCE Korean bbq option and left completely stuffed. Not a lot of veggies options… but it’s Korean bbq.
