My wife and I had the broccoli pesto and added chicken to it, it was one of the best pesto dishes I’ve had. I think the price was good for the quality of the meal. I just wish that there was a little bit more chicken since I paid extra for the chicken added to the meal. Don’t get me wrong it was still fantastic I just would have thought there would have been just a little more chicken.
Our waitress was really good.
If we’re passing through this way again, we’ll definitely stop for dinner or lunch again.

Absolutely a rare treat and gem in Artesia, New Mexico. Staff was friendly and went out of their way even when slammed during peak hours. I have an enjoyable experience each and every time I have eaten here. The food was HOT and very well prepared. It was a complete full house and the staff never missed a beat. Very clean place even the restrooms were very well kept up. Excellent atmosphere and I will be returning again.

Suggest ordering by phone and pick up. It’s a very small restaurant. That being said, it may be small? However, it is huge in guys quality and quality! So be sure to go HUNGRY!

Edit:
As of 8/13/25, staff are using the restaurant as a day care. We went here and there were two very loud kids running around. It turned out to be kids of the people who work there. But not only that, I saw the kids trying to get ice out of the ice tray thing. And one of the waitresses picked up the girl so she could get her own soda. Sitting her on the counter.
So god knows how clean everything is, given that kids can be very dirty.
Honestly. Would not recommend at this time. Sad to say because we’ve been coming here for years.

We’ve been coming here for years. It’s nearly always on point and really good service and food. They’ve had a few bad days, but overall for the last 10+ years they’ve been a reliable stop for some really good food and bread. Always recommend to stop here.

Our first time here, family had heard great things. It was good but the food was good but seriously lacked seasoning. Once you add a little salt and pepper it got better. The waitress was super sweet but you could tell she was new. 5 stars for the effort and attitude.
We were sat by a door and window that might go to a patio. The cold was blasting right through. I’d go again just because of lack of options in the area but season it.

The greeting could have been better. All servers need to give their name upon meeting their tables. The food was good and so was the cheesecake ( tres leches). The lady at the cahier desk just sat there expecting us to go up instead of mentioning a small gesture to come close and pay; it’s the small things that matter and the small things in assuming that get one no where really quick. No doubt that this place is a local favorite, but they can do better. Drink refills are basic necessity, smile more, and communicate better team.

Service wasn’t the best. Our meals came out before the appetizers. Never received our appetizers at all. One of our entrees had hair in it. It took 10 minutes to pay (you have to walk up and pay). Food was okay. Lastly, it felt kind of strange to have no solution or discount for the hair or appetizer issue.

The food here was delicious and the atmosphere was great, staff could be a little more attentive. Nevertheless we enjoyed our time here.

I have to say the food was good but we spent $60 easy for just us. Definitely would be returning on a special occasion

Recommendations:
– shrimp fra diavolo

From research this was the only Italian place in Artesia(local too). Popular by locals I came here to see what the hype was about. Walking into the restaurant I was not greeted by a waiter/waitress so I assumed it was order by the cashier type of place. Waiting in the line for 5 min, the cashier tells me to go ahead and sit where ever I want for dine in. Cool.

They started me out with bread and marinara sauce but Bread was tasteless with no character to it. Anyways, I asked the waitress for recommendations and she told me to try shrimp fra diavolo and stracciatella soup, And I did. Stracciatella soup had eggs, spinach and cheese, Interesting and flavorful mix. Not a soup I’d go back over and over again for but one that I’ll try once in my life time. The diavolo, sauce was amazing with parsley and the spicy that had me addicted to it. The only disappointment was the pasta, felt like one I could just buy off of a walmart shelf and it definitely dropped the quality of the whole package.

That bread I mentioned earlier, went perfect with the left over sauce from diavolo. Just know that theres alot of sauce with most of the pasta here.
