Pizza pizza pizza!!
Lots of great flatbreads here, reasonably priced, with a spacious area that fits right in with the rest of this cool downtown vibe. You’ll always see this place full during weeknights.
I ordered a starter soup for myself, cucumber, which was a a refreshing way to start the meal, although not a fan of them olives…
We ordered 3 pizzas to share for our party of 3. Mushroom, pine nuts, and meat. All very light, a bit different tasting than what you’d expect. They look thin but fill you up, and we had to take am entire pie home.
Friendly staff and quick service. Perfect for a bite to eat before heading next door to the brewery!

on a monday night, i was in the mood for a small bite and a cocktail, so we decided to try volturno after hearing great recommendations.
we sat at the bar, and for our drinks, i tried a bartenders choice, which was a paloma with tequila, while my date tried their ‘was up, b?’ (my second choice). i really enjoyed both drinks, and i preferred the was up, b? i also tried their kiwi krush, which was absolutely delicious, with a very strong house-made jalapeño infused tequila. the drinks here are great!
for food, we tried their burrata which had such a unique, delicious assortment of focaccia, burrata, nuts, roasted grapes, balsamic vinegar, prosciutto, and arugula. everything paired very well. then we tried their margherita pizza with garlic aioli on the side. the pizza was great, i would have preferred a bit more basil, but it was cooked perfectly. i would try a different dipping sauce for the crust. our bartender suggested we get a second pizza for their monday & tuesday bogo special, and we took the eggplant pizza home and it was also great the next day.

This has to be one of the best pizza spots in the area! They serve delicious hand made pizzas with fresh ingredients and interesting specials. We got the eggplant pizza with basil aioli and weren’t able to resist digging in before snapping a pic!

So happy we found Volturno driving through Massachusetts. The food is unbelievable! Pizza was phenomenal! The pasta was so fresh. This place is a must and probably will be our food stop from now on. Worth the trip off the highway. Service was great, quick, and extremely professional. 10 stars!

Came here for the first time tonight and had a great experience. We were seated right away and Madeline our waitress was attentive and got our food out quickly. We started off with the meatballs and rice balls and had the shrimp and bolognese pasta dishes for our main course and topped it off with the dessert pizza. Everything was fresh and delicious. I’m looking forward to coming back!

Severely disappointed. Pizza was super bland, which was surprising because visually it looked fantastic. We ordered the viturno (arugula and prosciutto) it had a sprinkling of Parm on it. We also got the pesto chicken, and it honestly tasted like a taco. I’ve never had pesto that tasted like nothing. Also, the charcuterie board was very plain and the focaccia was rock hard.

Delicious pizza and great service! We got the funghi and pistachio pizzas. Both were good, but the funghi was the favorite.

Great authentic pizza. The food all has a homemade feel to it ( homemade pasta, mozzarella are incredible). Many exceptional choices on the menu. Everything isn’t covered in garlic to hide the flavors. Pizza is great, with choices you will not find at most Italian restaurants. Monday and Tuesday pizza is buy one get one free. Great staff, friendly and knowledgeable.

Birthday Lunch! Everything was delicious, apps–fried Brussel sprouts, Beet salad (hold the goat cheese and they did!), Arancini, and Calamari! Love the offering of Mocktails available! Cesar salad was perfect and authentic–anchovies and everything–salad not overly dressed, great flavor and crispy croutons. Pizzas were delicious with the crust done perfect–chewy, charred and flavorful from being wood-fired. There are probably hundreds of pizza places to choose from in Worcester, and have tried many of Worcester’s pizza spots. Voluturno’s is top-notch and made my birthday celebration feel extra special!
For dessert, the Tirimasu was a delicious ending to a great meal. Looking forward to going back!
