Service was very friendly and efficient. Richard who took our order was excellent. However the food lacked flavor. The tacu bowl lacked flavor and the chicken was dry. I added some of the sauces which helped tremendously but still wasn’t great. The quarter chicken was excellent. Great flavor and moist. But the fried rice was kind of bland and dry and the corn salad wasn’t very good either. The corn lacked a crispness that you would expect from corn. Also the texture of the corn was not for me either. But the beans, feta, onions, and tomatoes in the salad were very good. So for us the food disappointed but the service was excellent. Especially the very friendly girl who cleared away our table after the meal.

I had an amazing experience at Viva Chicken, and a big part of that was thanks to the outstanding service from Manager Andrew. He was attentive, professional, and made sure everything was perfect during our visit. His friendly attitude and dedication to great customer service truly stood out. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Kudos to Andrew and the entire team for making our dining experience so enjoyable! I’ll definitely be coming back.. my second time, I brought my family from Philly and Virgina.

Super bad customer service. I had a long day at work and came in for lunch, and the person who helped us didn’t even understand what I ordered. I asked for yuca and beans for my mother and me, and we didn’t get that. He didn’t even take a moment to double-check the order to see what was missing. This is the second time I’ve been here, and hopefully the last. The food is good, but the service is terrible

First time trying the herbal limeade from here and it was sooo good, super refreshing and not too sweet. Definitely something I’d order again. Also, the woman taking my order, had amazing hospitality and made the experience even better. My order was out quick too, which I really appreciated.

Very quiet restaurant with a nice sunroom type of space to dine in. The kitchen staff were pretty nice and the rice was delicious. I absolutely love fried rice so the moment I saw it on the menu, I had to try it. It was a little different than what I was expecting but very good. One of the guys from the kitchen gave me a couple of sauces to try with it and it took the meal to the next level.
I was very pleased with my meal.
I only took off a star because the drink area was very messy. It was very wet as if someone spilled drinks and no one bothered to clean it up. Also the girl on the register was playing on the phone and not very helpful when I asked questions (it was my first visit). She seemed a little annoyed. Almost like she assumed everyone had been there before and should know their order.

2024 update: Chi and the staff went above and beyond today!!! I came in and they let me know the whole chicken would be a bit to finish cooking.
I didn’t mind waiting – and then the managers gave me a gift card for waiting when the quote time ran a bit longer than they thought. (I didn’t even realize and was happy to wait.) This is the kind of customer service we need to bring back! Thank you so much!

Ordered the family meal today for my family. The rice was so overcooked I had to make my own which defeats the purpose of ordering takeout. The rice was greasy and mushy. Terrible. The vegetarian wrap was the same. Mushy and it was soggy. Veggies were wet causing the wrap to be the same. Chicken was undercooked and greasy. Had to be reheated in the oven to remove grease and finish cooking it. This was so disappointing. We lived in Ballantyne for years and went to ViVa weekly because we love this location in Gastonia is terrible.

Got the whole chicken and three sides deal! Chicken was so delicious, moist and full of flavor, however as good as the chicken was the sides impressed me just as much! The fried rice was great, the green beans and peppers tasted so good and seasoned perfectly but the corn salad stole the show!! Great service ( we got ours to go) and beyond fairly priced, under $33 for two ppl ( and we still got enough for two more meals) and EVERYTHING tasted fresh.

The service here was so good I had that edit my review once again. Victoria and Omaree were excellent – they deserve a raise. Look at the presentation of the food in the pictures. Excellent! If you need a nice place to eat whether it’s dining in or out you won’t be disappointed, Viva Chicken is the spot!
