Delicious local coffee spot, the cortado was about average however the pastries are a must try. It was fresh light and flavorful. The only thing I wish they would do is label the pastries so we wouldn’t have to ask what it is. Overall, I would try them again.

Are the pastries good? Sure, they’re fine..I have enjoyed several.

Are they worth the drive if you have to travel 20+min? Not really. The couple of times I’ve gone, the line has been long and the menu not updated at all…which is fine, except you can’t see what they have in stock until after waiting in the long line to get to the ordering area. as a savory person, I have repeatedly driven a long way (support small and all that) to wait in a line only to find out they only had sweets left… And honestly I wouldn’t have wasted my time waiting at all if they kept their menu updated in any way or made the availability more visible to folks waiting in a long line since they tend to sell out. (The staff will spend a LOT of time repeating their available items to every single person at the front of the line, when they definitely could invest in an alternative that would keep the line moving).

If you’re super local, not a bad place to go. Decent pastries. If you’re equidistance to another bakery with a better layout and better communication and better labels, go to the other one. I’d rather drive the hour to downtown Charlotte bakeries with better labels/menu visibility.

Delicious pastries at this bakery!! I arrived a little after nine on a Saturday morning. Although I had to wait in line, I was only there for about 15 minutes. As you are leaving the bakery, there is a sign that says to check your order. I wish I had checked my order! I received a glazed donut with sprinkles even though I had ordered a cinnamon twist donut. I am not a fan of glazed donuts but this one tasted like a pastry. Overall, everything I ordered was delicious. It is pricey but I would recommend this bakery.

I visited the bakery for the first time and had a bit of poor service, well the girl at the front was pretty ok…I was looked on as If I didn’t belong there, but
I kept My hopes up and decided to be the first to say Good morning since one of the workers who approached the girl at the front look at Me and bow her head as if I wasn’t there!
I purchased 1 sourdough loaf and decided to get a sweet bakery and asked for the cinnamon roll, before I was done paying the bread and sweet was already for pick up and was ask by the girl who bagged them if
I wanted a carry out bag in My head sarcastically I said to Myself well of cause
I do how will I carry them.
I was never given a chance to pick the
loaf But I figured they have a fair rating so no big deal, but ones
I got home may I say the cinnamon roll was addictive but had to buttery cinnamon swirling around the inside of the sweet and the most disappointing part was the sourdough….it was way to much toasted a bit burnt if you ask Me
The sourdough was the main reason for going there…
I have a condition and can’t eat other types of bread without getting a reaction from it and the Health professionals suggested sourdough bread.
I would contact the bakery and ask if its possible to get a special order of the sourdough thats slightly toasted and not burnt. Meanwhile I will keep searching for the perfect sourdough bakery throughout Charlotte area in My quest to find the perfect bakery.
I really love bread and will need about 2 loafs every week since I truly eat it every day.
If anyone read My comment and has a suggestion on a bakery they purchased that perfect sourdough please PM Me.
Thanks

Best bakery in the charlotte area, hands down. It is well worth the wait if there is a line. It is a small, family-run bakery that occasionally runs out of some favorites, but there is always something new to try. Like…an impressive variety to constantly choose from! Follow them on instagram for the latest offerings. I love that they use sourdough in all of their baked goods and they source the best ingredients possible for their creations. High quality products. They are truly dedicated to perfecting their craft.

It takes a lot of my effort not to stop by everyday they are open…. favorite place in Waxhaw (and I love a lot of places in Waxhaw….). Anytime we have out of town visitors, Virtuoso is a must. Their fun, seasonal lattes never taste syrup-y but like fresh ingredients, their savory pastries and breads will get you through long workdays, and their sweets are always such a delicious surprise. Love the creativity the baker puts into new items! Also they are always so kind and polite.

THE BEST BAKERY I’VE EVER BEEN TO! The staff here are so nice and welcoming! They take the time to tell you every item in the case and literally everything is delicious. Also, the coffee is fantastic. It’s Enderly, which is a local Charlotte roaster and the barista here is fantastic at her job! I look forward to coming here every week. It is the highlight of my week. The sourdough is to die for and everything is made fresh daily. My favorite items are the cinnamon roll latte, the fruit danish, the banana bread, the sourdough bread, blueberry lemon coffee cake, and the spicy cheese biscuit. 10/10 MUST GO

Virtuoso is the best bakery in the area. Lauren and Ben put so much love into everything they make. We have watched this bakery grow in menu and flavors and each year is better than the last! The croissants are flaky and buttery, and the chocolate chip cookies are next-level, soft in the middle, not overly sweet, just perfect. They use sourdough as the base for a lot of their pastries, which gives everything an amazing flavor.

The english muffins, bagel bombs, and cookies are always staples for me! And I love that they try to source local and support the community. I highly recommend checking out what Virtuoso is baking up!

This was my first time here. They open at 6.30am and when I come back I will be getting there as close to that time as possible. Their amazing baked goods rotate so if you want something specific you best get there when they open. I got there around 8.30 and the place was mostly full inside of patrons enjoying their goodies and a line. It took about 20plus minutes, but it was worth the wait! We had their signature sourdough bread, a raised donut(AMAZING), a pumpkin mocha cream cheese muffin(to die for!!), a chocolate chip cookie(good), a savory cruffin(O.M.Goodness, so yummy), and a couple flavored lattes(very, very good). This place is absolutely worth getting up early for and the 25 min drive, hands down!!

Virtuoso is a true gem and part of what makes Waxhaw so special. I love how creative, beautiful, and delicious everything is from here. From the bread to the birthday cake cookies- you can certainly tell that everything is made with love. Especially grateful for the pizza dough they made for our family during Thanksgiving! It made for an extra special night and the best pizzas we have made yet!
