A restaurant just off Time Square. We did not have reservations and were able to sit down at the table right away.

The food in this restaurant is delicious, I think it’s been many years since I’ve eaten such good food. I went with my friends and we ordered smoked meat, it was wonderfully delicious, the service at the restaurant is great, the atmosphere is extremely pleasant, the staff are very attentive, very well located, good drinks, all the foods on the menu are delicious. I think everyone should go to this restaurant at least once. this gastronomic experience in New York is really worth living. I highly recommend 10/10.

I had been eating in a few different BBQ restaurants in NYC. This was pretty close to the Time Square, I was lucky to get a table after having a pint of IPA at the bar table. They had a good list of IPAs and beers. As usual, I am a big fan of the BBQ beef brisket and pork ribs. The brisket was tender and the portion was reasonable. It had good marbling though. Sauce was not enough but they got three bottles of sauces on the table., The mild BBQ, BBQ with heat (I tried, but it was far away from spicy) and the mango one. Rib was good and tender….I ordered 1/2 lb and I got 6 bones. My friend found them too burnt, but I got used to it..it was a signature of having a nice barbie. Sides were all good and no complaints at all.

Its been years since I been here. This spot is exactly as I remember. The drinks are so bomb! And the food still tasty. My only criticism would be that I’d like the Jalapeno mango boneless wings to have more kick as it leaned more on the sweet side. David, though, was by far the best & can’t wait to see / hear the podcast

Visiting NY from Florida and saw Virgils and the menu looked good so I stopped in with the wife. Service was great, our server Emily was very patient with us as we were undecided on what to get (everything sounded so good!) I ended up going with the country fried steak and it was HUGE. All the food was big portions and really good.

It felt like coming home! I visited here in 2007 and only remembered the location, couldn’t remember the name but.I knew exactly where it was and I found it! I remembered it was excellent BBQ and it still is! Memphis rub ribs cooked to perfection, sauce was great and the jalapeño cornbread muffin yummy! I did try the peanut butter pie and I didn’t love it- too much peanut butter for me but it didn’t spoil my visit and I will be back. Highly recommend if you’re in NYC

If you’re jonesing for some barbeque in Times Square – you’ll meet your match at Virgil’s. First and foremost, the staff is polite, knowledgeable and on-point. Alyssa the Manager is AMAZING and extremely accommodating (I had to adjust my reservation and still wind up being late). Make sure when you go – you go hungry! The portions are beautifully sized and the food is delicious. I’d highly recommend the catfish fingers, fried pickles, boneless wings and the NACHOS… WINNING! Each appetizer was bursting with flavor… particularly enjoyed the Cajun flavor tucked into the breading of the catfish and frickles! Salads are colorful and delicious. Def get the brusselsprouts – the tastebuds enjoyed every bite. I LOVED the pork belly… tender and tasty, you can expect to enjoy. The ribs were good – nice dry rub and perfect paired with the baked beans and corn muffin (with maple butter… Mmmmm). The pulled pork platter was tasty and ridiculously filling as was the pulled pork sandwich. Also, honorable mention goes to the cole slaw… I was impressed. Dessert is all house made and I thoroughly enjoyed the apple crumb pie, key-lime pie and banana pudding… make sure you save room for dessert! Great evening out with friends – highly recommended. Enjoy!

I have been wanting to come here for a long time. Finally came here for dinner celebrating a good friend’s birthday. Dave was our waiter – Attentive, polite, made recommendations when asked. He surprised my friend with asking the other patrons to Wish her Happy Birthday. A group of patrons sitting next to us sang Happy Birthday 🙂 We got the Pig Out Platter. Portions were small, nevermind, we couldn’t finish it – It was a lot of food. 🙂 psssst… the pecan pie with ice cream was simply amazing, it was not sweet, just right. (We remembered to take pictures after we ate for about 10 minutes).
