A true jewel hidden slightly away from the main University avenue. Came here with friends and enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. I didn’t realize that they have to close a bit early so I recommend to get there earlier.
The best part is a unique mix of flavors, we picked most of the available tapas options and loved them all.
Service is exceptional. Just being able to have a small talk with our server added a human touch to the whole experience.
Highly recommend Vino Locale for either romantic, business, or casual dining.

Vino Locale is truly one of Palo Alto’s hidden gems! Tucked inside a beautiful old Victorian home, it feels like you’ve stepped into a cozy European wine garden right in the middle of Silicon Valley. I started with a wine flight and loved getting to try different varietals before settling on a gorgeous glass of red. The food was excellent — the baked sour cherry brie was heavenly, the gluten-free kale and mushroom ravioli was surprisingly rich, and the molten chocolate cake a la mode was the perfect ending.
The backyard patio is magical at night with twinkle lights, firepits, and live music. It’s such a romantic spot but also great for a relaxed evening with friends. The service was warm and friendly, and the prices felt really reasonable for the quality and atmosphere. Definitely recommend making a reservation since seating is limited. Can’t wait to come back!

With questionable discretion, after attempting to infiltrate what appeared to be a Stanford alumni gathering, an affair brimming with well educated laughter, we found ourselves at Vino Locale.
Vino Locale presented itself not so much as a business, but as a house that one day awoke and decided it would rather serve wine than families. The result is most charming. A cozy patio that whispers of leisurely afternoons and gentle gossip, coupled with a wine selection of respectable character and light bites that appear to have graduated with distinction from the School of Modest Portions.
It encourages conversation and mild philosophical reflection, though that may simply be the influence of the fourth glass.
The restroom was a curious element. A bathtub, not filled with water, but corks. An unexpected display that made me pause and wonder whether this was art, storage or an urgent cry for help from the local sommelier. It was amusing.

Very cute and romantic place. Felt as if it was set up in a previously owned home.
The staff was very polite
The food was very good and had many options. They handed all the couples a rose on occasion of valentines day.
The jazz musicians were amazing !

The atmosphere was great! I was really looking forward to eating and drinking and relaxing here.
The food was pretty good. I enjoyed the eggplant dip and grape leaves. However, the brie with persian cherries and strawberries sounded better tasting than it was in reality.
I hate to complain about service, but we were looking forward to having a few drinks.
After finishing our first glass of wine, we waited about 40 minutes for someone to check on us. Meanwhile, several other tables were being assisted around us.
We would have stayed to have more food and drink, but had other plans, so had to leave with less wine in us than we had planned, due to the lack of service.

This is a pleasant spot in Palo Alto with a surprisingly unpretentious atmosphere, especially for the area. It has plenty of outdoor seating and a laid-back vibe. The food was decent overall—nothing particularly memorable but still enjoyable. The fish skewers stood out as the highlight of the meal, while the charcuterie was a bit underwhelming. One downside was that as they began to prepare for closing, they turned off the outdoor heaters without any warning, which felt a bit inconsiderate.

A cozy restaurant with delicious food and a warm, home-like atmosphere. We tried the lemon chicken kebob, lobster ravioli, swordfish kebob, and Sultan kebob—all flavorful and perfectly cooked. For dessert, the molten lava cake and tiramisu were light and not overly sweet, providing the perfect finish to a hearty meal.
Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that we highly recommend!

Vino Locale is definitely a very nice restaurant with a great selection of local wines as well as from the rest of the world. On the menu they offer tapas and a great selection of full courses. As an added benefit you can choose between a small but ample amount of wine. They offer a tasting menu so you may choose the wine that best suits your meal. We had a cheese and charcuterie board which we found to be delicious. This is a lovely restaurant with tables on the front outside, inside and outside on the backyard. We enjoyed having our dinner on the backyard with live guitar music. The staff was also nice and very welcoming. A very enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

Awesome wine bar – perfect for an evening of drinks and fun. We were a party of 5, had reservations. The place isn’t very large, so would recommend reservations. As the name suggests, most of the wines are from NorCal… (there may be some from other regions, didn’t read every word of the menu 🙂 ) The service was excellent.
The wine pours are very generous – they have 6, 9 oz options – my advice: if you plan to try a bunch of them, go with 6oz. Tried a cab sav and a cab franc. A couple of fellow diners had a rose bubbly – all of us really like all the drinks. They also have cocktails – one of us had a soju based drink – she thought it was unique and excellent.
The food: several cheese platters and appetizers on the menu.The dinner options are not very deep but you typically wouldn’t go there just for dinner. We got the spanakopita, samosas, vegan meatballs, cheese platter – all very good except maybe that I didn’t care for the Gouda cheese (maybe aged 6 mos, I prefer the 18). The service was excellent – I was the lone non-veg eater at the table, they were very accommodative by adding some salami to our cheese platter just for me!
The place is a converted house, the seating is in the front yard and a tasteful verdant backyard. There’s even a “threshold” arch so if you want some fun pictures after a few drinks. There was also live music – the guy was mostly into the classic rock and 80s stuff (our style!!); it was one of our birthdays so he even sang the birthday song and got everyone at the restaurant to do the chorus – fun stuff!
Perfect night out, highly recommend.
