Kobe beef burger…simply the best burger I ever had in my life, home made fries were also delicious. Am not kidding, had an amazing experience. I could just fly to Aspen to have this burger

Service was amazing, food was amazing, drink selection was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect. Don’t be fooled by the diner looking condiment setup, this place is fine dining.

Planned to have lunch at this restaurant for our last day in Aspen on Monday but ended up leaving due to disappointment with host… There were only two other parties dining at the time (both were parties of 2) sitting at fire-pit dining height tables. I asked the hostess for the last open dining table for my husband and myself. She stated that specific table had to be saved for larger groups (which is fine). So instead she sat us at a lounge height fire-pit table where the chairs were hindered with a massive umbrella overhead. We were trying to get comfortable until I overheard her tell the next couple the same thing about the table we originally requested. The couple then proceeded to say “ok what if we told you we had 7 people?”… The hostess then proceeded to sit them and removed the extra plate settings leaving enough for a party of 2. I’m unsure why the difference in treatment? Perhaps my husband and I didn’t look as affluent as this other couple? This was the first and only place that made me feel unwelcome during my visit. Needless to say, we left and went across the way to Base Camp where everyone was friendly and welcoming. Their food and drinks were great too!

We came with our two girls 5 and 7. The service was excellent and the food was lovely too. The steak comes with plenty of beans. Husband said was good. I had the Colorado bass which came with a kind of seafood zucchini warm salad which was tasty. Fish tasted good. Kids meals could also come with veg which my kids said no to, but was a welcome addition! They split a dessert between our kids which was lovely.

Absolutely the best food and service. We were in Snowmass for a week and wish we had eaten there the first day, because we may not have eaten anywhere else! Excellent staff, friendly manager who was working pretty hard even serving tables. He knows how to make a great martini too!! And he still had time to chat and show me around. That’s some multi-tasking!

Amazing food! The yellowtail tostada is maybe the most delicious thing I’ve ever had – layers of flavor with a subtle Asian twist on Mexican- must have!

The food was good it was average food with its own spin on it. The service was great. But I still had a lot of food on my plate and wasn’t finished when the manager came and took it away without asking if I was finished. Our waitress was extremely nice and my parents and friends say the food was great so I give them 4 stars.

Simply amazing! My husband is still raving this morning about the Colorado lamb and he’s already wanting to return tonight. The chocolate bread pudding was incredible and the service and atmosphere were top-notch. Divine!

Stopped in for drink and light lunch. Very disappointing food. French onion soup was only warm and lacked any depth of flavor. My husband had the shrimp cocktail which he was also very disappointed in both quality and taste. The shrimp was mushy and watery as of it was just thawed out and served.

Gross bathrooms with overwhelming urine smell and dried boogers on the wall were the nail in the coffin for my experience at State 38.
