I spent 12 days in Vegas over Christmas. I was checking out new spots I hadn’t yet been and decided on Village Pub Flamingo on a Friday night. Walking in, loved the atmosphere immediately. I sat myself as there wasn’t anyone around so took a booth off the bar. A couple small groups came in after me and a waiter helped them out. I don’t think he ever saw me slip in so I eventually went and flagged him down. He was super apologetic and immediately brought me a menu and drink. I’m never in a hurry when dining so waiting doesn’t bother me one bit but the waiter was trying to make it up to me with over-attentive service, much appreciated. Friday night special was fried shrimp, fries and coleslaw so went with it. Being familiar with Ellis Island, I knew the food is excellent at VP but I swear this one is even better. It was so good! At $14.95 it felt like a bargain. It was probably the best meal in the 12 days I was there and I had a lot of great ones.

We LOVE coming here! Service, food and atmosphere is GREAT!! I’m not a gambler but we sit where there is no machines on the bar and enjoy a meal, drinks and conversation with each other, bartenders and any friendly customers in the place.

Ellis Island. For us a must visit. Great value food and drink. Busy restaurant. Great atmosphere within the casino area. Karaoke bar..Don’t forget your ellis island card. It’s free and easily obtained within .You play the slots etc and can get discounts on food in the restaurants.

Bartenders are super chill. Food is hit or miss depending who’s in the kitchen – either it’s terrific, or my garlic cheese fries are burnt to a crisp (I’m amazed they even packaged them up for me that way instead of remaking them but I digress…hope they fire the crappy cook). The online menu is outdated; prices are much higher. Steak and eggs is my fav.

Out for a late dinner, I come across the Village pub in a quick Google search. This place is 24 hours, which is amazing. I am visiting from out of state and I miss 24 hour place. Now we are greeted by the most delightful woman named Kelly. She was so wonderful and friendly. She had great recommendations. The Chicken fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies is what I had, and my friend got the NY strip and eggs. Everything was perfect. We both left full and satisfied with our experience. You should take a visit and say hello to Kelly, who of course invited us back, and I’m sure we will before leaving town. Thank you so much, Kelly, and the chef working last night. Oh!!! the broccoli soup is the best I have ever had!

Great food! The Friday special is fried shrimp with clam chowder. The shrimp are good, but the chowder is amazing. Make sure to get there early before they run out. It’s really that good and filling.

Total disappointment! I had a comp for two free entrées and the bartender told me I couldn’t get what I wanted. Then took my order and brought out food that was ALMOST what I had wanted but not quite. She didn’t give me or my friend utensils, napkins, or water. I asked for a beer and she brought something else I didn’t want. I had to ask for condiments and she didn’t check up on us at all while we ate at the bar, that was EMPTY BTW! She took our plates when we were done and basically ignored us the rest of the time we were there except when my friend asked if she had a charger because his phone died. She said yes, took his phone, and put it behind the bar. We hung out and gambled while we thought the phone was charging then as we got ready to leave, she picked up the tips we left her and she said, “Is this what you’re leaving me?” I just shook my head and my friend grabbed his phone. As we left, he tried to turn his phone on which was completely dead! We were treated so bad it was almost comical! I’ll never go back there again unless I know for sure Liz isn’t working!!!

The server was friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional. The only drawback is that there is no separation between the bar and the restaurant and they allow people to smoke at the bar. If you can overlook that or don’t care, it’s a great place to eat.
