I went to lunch with my daughter. I’d never been in the Village Inn despite working near it several times. It was quite tasty. I had the chicken fried steak with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The white gravy was excellent and plentiful. I had enough to cover the steak, mashed potatoes plus I had enough to sop my fresh biscuit. One daughter had baked chicken, potatoes, and green beans. The other had a chicken sandwich, crispy bacon and avocado and fries.. Everything was delicious. The waitress was fast and courteous, making sure we had what we needed. The chocolate, peanut butter pie with caramel drizzle was a great end to a wonderful meal. I had plenty of good coffee to go with my meal.

I have driven passed this restuarant for months thinking one day I will have to stop and give them a try. Well today was the day. I didn’t have a lot of time but I wanted breakfast before work. I was a bit worried because the were on a wait when I entered. The warm greeting made me stay. After maybe 10 minutes I was seated. The food took a little longer but it came out just in time for to enjoy and get to work. Very good fresh and satisfying. Now I must return for some of the delicious looking desserts

Best strawberry crepes. Eat here often. Their pick 4 let’s you customize your breakfast. Never had a bad service, meal,( a very well oiled machine) never waited for food, check, refills. Love This place.

Family owned and operated excellent service. We purchased two pies for father’s Day, a strawberry pie in a pecan. Both pies were fresh and tasted delicious. I they were home made …sucks I didn’t take pictures, trust me you won’t be disappointed.

I grew up going to a Village Inn and was excited to see there was one in KC. The service was great. Very friendly staff. Food was good for the most part. The biscuits and gravy were a little weird. They served two sausage patties on a biscuit and put gravy over it (the gravy didn’t have the sausage in it).

Yet another Kansas City icon. Village Inn is best known for breakfast , served all day, it is a full service restaurant offering up large portions of comfort foods for over 60 years. My grandfather introduced me to the Inn when I was small and I have many memories of him enjoying a stacks of pancakes and a cup of joe before work. Easy to find , plenty of free parking with a dinning room large enough that there is rarely a long wait even at peak times. Prices are more than reasonable and the portions are generous. I have always found the place to be clean with friendly and helpful staff. Be sure to save room for dessert! Bring your appetite and you won’t be disappointed.

It’s a little dated, but I’m sure that’s part of the charm for most. Solid diner fare with an obviously capable kitchen as we had a table full of fantastic food. Our waitress was wonderful too. Great for homestyle breakfasts and dinners.

Extremely disappointed as we are regulars for breakfast but decided to take family there for dinner.. the service was horrible, the food was horrible.. so disappointed when you look forward to going and showing family your favorite restaurant and the steaks aren’t cooked right, the chicken is rubber and the waiter doesn’t even ask how the food was.. so steaks weren’t fixed (very rare when asked for well done), the green beans were salty and from a can.
