This is MY FAVOURITE Noodle restaurant ever – Between Vancouver and Victoria. They are the best!!! Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai style noodles, they are so conscious of gluten free and have so many options for a GF person, they are so accommodating and sweet, daily specials, fresh ingredients, such reasonable prices, smoothies and bubble teas, AND they give you a free rice pudding for dessert!!!!! How sweet is that???? These guys deserve to be fully packed around the clock. GO EAT HERE, you will not regret it!!!

The food was amazing. We got to talk to the chef and owner and it’s so lovely that the restaurant is filled with paintings that he and his son and a family friend did. Cannot recommend the food enough! This is such a hidden gem.

Ah, for the love of all things soup and noodle in a bowl. I spent some time in Vietnam, mostly around the Hanoi area and the food you’d find on the street was the most satisfying.
This is the case here at Vietnam Garden Restaurant at 524 Admirals Rd, Esquimalt. Chef Ken Yu still serves up some tasty delights.
I started with the chicken spring roll that seemed like it was made in-house and was tasty. There was a subtle mixing of the flavours of the ingredients which paired well with the nuoc cham (sweet and sour) dipping sauce.
Next I had the spicy lemongrass beef noodle soup. Again, some gently layered flavours that were a sound base for me to personalize from, adding a dash of hoisin, soy, and a decent amount more hot sauce. It hit the spot perfectly. The beef was a beautiful pink and the fresh veggies gave a nice crunch. It’s one of the nuances that people often don’t realize about this type of food; you’re supposed to use the ingredients on the table to make it suite you tastes.
Finally, and surprisingly because I didn’t order it, I was brought some of their homemade coconut rice pudding. And though everything else was great, the pudding was possibly my most favourite part of the meal because of the subtlety and depth of something that I just expected to be sweet, was so surprising. I love being surprised.
I shall be back for several more visits. You should be too….

Large plate of noodles was packed with flavour and loaded with prawns. Bbq pork was loaf style which was surprising but a welcome addition. Service was prompt and food arrived quickly, an overall great value for a giant plate. Only negative, the place could use a good clean up inside and out.

This place is incredibly delicious. I discovered it three years ago, and it still has that special touch in both its food and service.
Highly recommended!

Great food, friendly staff. They have really good lemon grass beef noodle soup or spicy cashew chicken. Their dessert menu also packs quite a few surprises like the Deep Fried Banana(see picture). The prices are fair and the location is nice and quiet. They have ample parking in the back of the restaurant.

So good! I had the beef brisket noodle soup and the shrimp salad rolls. So so so good. Ken (the owner) is very accommodating. I also love how his son’s artwork covers the walls. Great food, great vibes. Will definitely come back!

First time customer and not disappointed! Generous portions. I had the Shrimp Combo and an Avocado Shake. Both were excellent. Looking forward to trying other menu items.
