They are only open Friday and Saturday. You order off a kiosk, that was a new experience for me. I had teriyaki beef, came with white rice and vegetables. Delicious flavour! The atmosphere is great, a TV on the wall runs a fun bunch of trivia questions to intrigue your mind. Also was fun, as we found the questions sparked conversation topics with our group.
I ordered fish tacos. THEY ARE THE BEST! I had some things taken off of it. I’m not a spice girl. wish I would have taken a picture. it’s so colorful and presented beautiful. Everything comes in to go containers.
It’s A MUST TRY PLACE.
ONLY OPEN 2 DAYS. YOU MUST GO!!!!
Delicious flavors that bring a pop to the area, Vietmom has great food.
The flavors are authentic with a generous portion of beef and 4 different sauces not counting Siracha. Broth is light and delicious. Sprouts, herbs, and spices help this out of the way place hit all the perfect notes. The owner, a lovely young lady, talked to us on way out and upon finding out that we have a long drive ahead, sent her son to the parking lot to ask us to stick around for a minute. They came out a few minutes later with Vietnamese egg rolls, 2 bottles of water, and Vietnamese coffee for the road, compliments of her mom, the “Vietmom” whom she named her restaurant after. We asked to meet Vietmom and her husband who were cleaning up in the kitchen to thank them. We learned their story, thanked them profusely, and went on our way.
The coffee and egg rolls were as amazing as the pho. Flavors are authentic as the recipe is mouthwateringly unique. It was exactly what we needed for the remainder of the long drive.
Meeting this warm and lovely family for just a few minutes as they were closing up for the night left an indelible mark. If you’re in the area or are passing through Mountain Home, make the detour and come here for the delicious food. Look at the story of “Vietmom” lovingly captured in photos on the wall and, if you’re lucky like we were, you might leave with new friends and a story you’ll never forget!
