For nearly 40 years Vida Mia has cooked tons of beans, made millions of flour tortillas and made many liters of our secret chile rojo sauce. Soups, tacos and hamburgers have left our kitchen and made thousands of bellies happy. The original restaurant name was Cuauhcalli (originated 1972) – which translates to the house of eagles in the native Nahuatl language. We cannot go back to being kids, but we may give new direction to the adventure that is our life. We must enjoy and share the aromas and sounds of our native cuisine. From all this…comes the creation of VIDA MIA. Bon Appetite.

Fantastic! The egg plate breakfast was delicious. The restaurant is part of a shooting strip / center with a good sized parking area. Plenty of space for parking. The inside is a good size, but could get a bit busy during popular times. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend for medium to small groups. Definitely plan ahead if you have a larger group so they can accommodate you. The staff were very attentive and friendly. My coffee cup was always full. No complaints. Definitely recommend 100%.

We attended a private party here and the food and service was very good. I had the Posole and my wife had the chicken enchiladas. The posole was very tasty and the meat was extremely tender. I tasted the chicken enchiladas and the green salsa was very good. They also had kids plates with chicken tenders and tacquitos. The only complaint was that it was kind of warm inside. They had fans going to try to reduce the heat.

Amazing original/authentic Mexican food nestled in the heart of Stone Oak, SA! Low sodium dishes with added FLAVOR and TASTE that will explode off your palate! Definitely a must try for breakfast and lunch (brunch).

Food was great but what really keeps me coming back to the restaurant was the service. It’s my favorite place to go have breakfast when I have a chance because of Veronica. Super friendly staff especially her. She really knows what’s she doing and makes the whole experience feel amazing. She helped me decide what to eat by truly knowing the menu and giving mouth watering explanations of each dishes. 10 out of 10 if you go you should ask for Veronica!

I would love to share 5 stars because of how delicious their food is. However note to owner/manager you need more wait staff. 2 waitresses, 1 busboy, and the Manger just behind the counter not helping the staff for a Sunday morning. You have great Vegan and Vegetarian options so I’ll be back. But help the staff out. The Vegan Pozole is awesome!!!

I really liked this restaurant but Sadly to say last time I took my mom we didn’t have good service at all. After my mother almost chocked on a piece of plastic that was in her chilaquiles. We told the waitress which she didn’t put much attention to the issue. We ask for another plate and was still charged for it, I didn’t make a big deal I just simply wanted to enjoy my day with my mom but it was a disappointment. The bigger issue came when my mom took her chilaquiles plate ( the plate that was replaced and still got charged for)home and wanted to give this restaurant another chance and found 4 pieces of plastic in her plate again. One I’m scared to dine in this restaurant showed they still serve an item it could be harmful for the public, and two you get charged for a plate you didn’t even eat. What a disappointment! after this experience I would never go back to this restaurant it’s not safe and I rather go to a restaurant that I can enjoy my food.
