Our family has dined here for either breakfast, lunch or dinner for 35 years. The staff (even in these times of labor shortages) is GREAT. Joyce, Dan and Donna have been super courteous to my family and friends in Lexington for years. There is a reason VL has thrived in town. It’s great food, dependable and you NEVER have to wonder what you are going to experience. It’s always great.

Lots of overpriced sandwich places out there but this place was pretty solid for the money. Clean tables, nice staff, quick service. Ordered at the deli counter but they will bring them to your table. The sandwiches were simple but great quality and freshness, good French bread rolls, plus they carry Polar products. We had one minor complaint that the staff was cool about and fixed immediately.

This is a great little cafe with a big, creative lunch menu. You can eat in or on sidewalk tables right in front of the store or get your food to go and eat near the visitor center. This is our go to place when we bike the Middlesex rail trail.

Very disappointed in the service as well as the food. Photos show the amount of Turkey, the amount of avocado and lettuce that should have been discarded by Via Lago, not me! Very disappointed as we are with family from out of state. 3:51 PM Saturday, 6/11/22.

The service was a bit slow at times but it seemed like they were a bit short-staffed. The food was decent, but not quite what we were hoping for – the pot pie was a bit bland, and the raviolis were dry on the inside. I appreciated the menu but felt that the execution and seasoning could’ve been a bit more bold to make the flavors pop.

Very nice restaurant in a great location. Pleasant atmosphere and interior decor, comfortable outdoor seating. Fresh food in generous portions. Pity they use disposables instead of real dishes and utensils. Good service, fair prices. Very good experience overall 🙂

This place is a joke. No service unless you ask for it. You sit and nobody comes over to you. Since I waited for the food, I did eat, however the order wasn’t right, and it was gross. Why are you still in business? Please don’t go here, they don’t care or even want to have you there.

Nice menu, outdoor seating in Lexington center. I had an appetizer and glass of wine which was enough for dinner along with a delicious roll. Generous pour for the wine. I’m looking forward to returning soon!
