The latte, delicious. The natural light, impeccable. The menu, curated and well priced — serving ONYX beans, somehow, someway.
Two hours from Denver, Veya stands alone as a quality coffee oasis in a vast desert of oily, over roasted, typical mountain town joe.
If coffee isn’t your thing, the strawberry matcha and hand pressed OJ await.
Oh, and perhaps the world’s best pop tarts, house made daily. Pray they aren’t sold out by the time you get there. Your life depends on it.

Updating my review based on the kind response from the coffee shop to my original review. That response was above and beyond what we expected. Knowing they are so new I don’t want to impact their star count and would try their coffee again the next time we swing through to see if a better experience comes with a little more time to get off the ground!
Original review: The gal behind the register and the cookie was the best part of this experience. My iced chai tasted like cinnamon milk, I had them add more concentrate and it was still super meh. I decided to order a different drink because it was disappointing and had to pay for the 2nd one. Not sure I’ve ever had a coffee shop charge me for a 2nd drink when the first was bad. I worked in speciality coffee in the PNW for over a decade and I’ve never charged someone for a 2nd beverage when they’d didn’t like the first…. My 2nd drink was unfortunately worse (over extracted espresso, milk steamed so hot the sugars were burnt off so it was a very sour latte). I essentially spent $15 on one meh 8oz latte.
I’d def go back here for the cookies though because holy hell the cookie was fantastic! 🙂

Veya has a shop! Main & Hwy 24!!! Buena Vista, CO…Soft opening was today 5/25!! Delicious drip coffee, Matcha Latte, Chai Latte. HANDMADE FRESH STAWBERRY POP TARTS! Very cozy and clean inside. There’s a back patio area too! Everything was delicious and the owners are very very sweet and fun!!!

My husband and visited Buena Vista for the first time recently. After a long drive, Veya was our first stop. We opted for a cold drink and enjoyed the refreshing mint tea with just the perfect amount of sweetness. They also have several great hot drink choices, including Onyx coffee which is amazing. We even splurged on homemade pumpkin cookies and strawberry poptarts – YUM! The shop is cute as can be, with a comfortable, laid back vibe. The seating area inside is small, but there is plenty of seating outside. The owner was lovely and we enjoyed spending some time hearing her story. It’s so exciting to see young entrepreneurs come up with an idea, execute it so well, and create something that BV can enjoy and be proud of for years to come. It’s easy to find – the first stop on Main Street! Be sure to make it a regular stop on your schedule.

I highly recommend Veya Coffee Bar for your next event! We used their services for our wedding last fall and Mary Lou & Jack were incredible!! The number one thing we heard (and still hear) from our guests about our wedding was how much they LOVED the coffee bar. Veya rocked it, and were so easy to work with, so kind to our guests, and made our wedding just all the more memorable and special.

Having Veya at our reception was one of the highlights of our wedding! I had wanted a coffee cart, but we only had around 60 guests attending so I wasn’t sure how many people would be interested in coffee. We ended up booking Veya closer to our wedding date, and I’m so glad we did. Mary Lou traveled to Eagle-Vail from Buena Vista and served up great drinks! There was always a line by the cart and I know people who had multiple drinks! It was great that they also offered options like hot chocolate and tea for the kids or those who didn’t want coffee. The drinks were so delicious and people are still talking about them 2 months later! Thank you, Veya!

The coffee shop that BV has needed for so long!! Best coffee, food, service and vibes in the whole valley. True specialty coffee and they make all their food / syrups / baked goods in house. We got a cappuccino, drip coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, a seasonal pop tart, and a bacon breakfast burrito. All were really, really good. Cannot recommend enough <3
