Good for Hood River is about what I have to say. I didn’t think there was anything exceptional about Kaze as far as sushi goes. The ramen was OK.

I had a wonderful evening here. The staff was amazing and the food was probably the best sushi I have had in Hood River.

I was with a good friend and they also had a wonderful time. We had two different Sake’s with four different sushi rolls.

We also had a few appetizers and again, they were amazing.

The best sushi in the Hood River area as far as I’m concerned! Well priced and especially tasty. We had an array of several different rolls, one of which was a Scallop Roll; I highly recommend! They have some really awesome Japanese sodas, where you push a marble down into the soda in order to get the soda fizzy. The servers are always the same, they are quick to get you seated and ordering food. They’ve got smiles on their faces and love to chat you up even if they are busy. You also get soup and salad with your meal if you order $20 or more. Can’t wait to go back and try out some different dishes and rolls.

The best all around Japanese restaurant in the Gorge. For me, the curries and rice bowls are particular standouts, as well as the soups. Friends have really enjoyed the sushi – I just happen to prefer rice and noodle dishes. They also make a mean tempura and serve excellent sake. It isn’t a fast food place. Often there is just one cook, so engage in some ribald banter with your dining mates and prepare yourself for some truly delicious food at a great price. My family has eaten here dozens of times and it has been consistently outstanding.

Ordered some simple rolls and some Ramen soup. The soup tasted like I was at a noodle house in Japan. It was fantastic. The waitress was friendly and prompt. It’s in a great location in town and had a nice feel to it. I would definitely recommend.

Honestly the best and freshest tasting sushi i’ve had! If your not a sushi fan that’s ok, the rest of there menu is full of amazing food too. Spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and snow crab rolls are a go to favorite of mine. I take everyone here who are not from the area, this is a must go to place.

First bento box and first taste of mochi. The waitress was personable and didn’t mind the over-enthusiastic child one bit. We sat closest to the exit for restrooms and it was still a great atmosphere. Got there just before the rush, and thank goodness cause the first sushi place was already full. Have to thank them sometime for helping me discover Kaze because of it. Perfect. From service, the quality, to presentation, to portions- even my goat-gutted friend couldn’t finish his bowl. Midnight picnic with leftovers! Will return.

Come here often. Everything is excellent. Much larger menu than Sushi Okalani. They always treat us well. The sushi will hold up compared to any other restaurant. Favorite restaurant in the Gorge.

To make a long story short, mediocre food with abysmally long wait times. Great place for 25 minute water waits and 55 minute ramen waits. Don’t bother asking how long it will take for your food to come out because they “won’t know” and they’ll hate you for it. Maybe I was unlucky but luck doesn’t change terrible service.
