After 6 days exploring Carmel, Monterey, and surrounding suburbs this was the perfect shop to end our coffee tour on. Verve is always solid, but the style, cleanliness and flow were ON POINT here. And the holiday blend they’re pulling made for the perfect oat latte with honey. Wish they had some of those beans in stock so W could bring the experience home! Wish this was my neighborhood Cafe because it’s perfect. 5 stars! Also 25 cent up charge for alternative milks is super reasonable.

thought it was a bit expensive at first then opened my breakfast sandwich box and it was the LARGEST SANDWICH I HAVE EVER SEEN (dino the otter palm pal for scale) and its actually delectable. i think ill feed my grandchildren with this sandwich. and the pumpkin matcha latte actually tastes of real pumpkin

Verve Coffee Shop in Santa Cruz is a true gem! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. I visited this cute little café and ordered a café au lait (or whatever it’s called!) and a cappuccino. Both drinks were really good—smooth and flavorful without being too strong. The coffee tasted fresh and decent, just what you’d hope for in a cozy spot like this. The atmosphere was inviting, and the baristas were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a nice place to stop by for a relaxing cup of coffee.

I’ve been to this coffee shop once prior but this time I wanted to be sure to leave a five star review. We dropped in to wait for family members to complete the Wharf to Wharf run and met some amazing local people while we sat at the tables. It’s funny how good service and great local company can make a place amazing and that’s certainly true for Verve. Yes, the coffee and food are good but it’s more about community and this place serves community up perfectly.
I don’t come into Santa Cruz as often as I’d like but Verve is on the “must do” list whenever I’m in the area.

The caffee is simple, unified, stylish, and very relaxing. It was a pity that there were no desserts since we went there on Sunday around 3 pm. I had the best time with a large cup. Parking is free for 2 hours.

Been drinking Verve drip coffee for years but haven’t visited one of their locations till now. Great location. My only gripe about this place was how long service took. If you’re in a rush and you’re just trying to get a quick cup of coffee, I’d go somewhere else. Waited 15 minutes in line to order and them 20 minutes for the one drink to be made. With that being said, the hot vanilla latte and butter croissant was fantastic. Flavor of the latte was on point. It could been a bit warmer; after about 10 minutes, the coffee was luke warm. Croissant was perfection; nice buttery flavor, laminated well, perfect size. Wish it could’ve gotten it warmed up. I’d definitely be back.

Looking for good espresso in the Santa Cruz area? Verve is the place. After a lot of bitter, burned tasting, not-good espresso, we found Verve. These folks are not phoning it in. Espresso was flavorful and they carefully pull their shots. Worth the visit!
