Just stumbled across this hidden gem. Ordered the breakfast burrito and I am hooked! Fantastic sandwich and prices. Wendy and Tina (or Tiffany I can’t recall exactly) are absolutely wonderful girls! Gonna try burgers for lunch later!

Have been here before and no problems, But what I saw today was unacceptable. Ordered our food and as we are waiting at the pickup counter, one of the women was putting the food in a bag for a customer and she took off her gloves, grabbed a napkin, wiped the sweat off her face as it was dripping on the counter, wiped her nose and then started putting the utensils and napkins in a customers bag, no she did not wash her hands, yes the utensils were facing up so everything that was on her hand is now on the spoon/fork. She then walks over to the grill and I see what I assumed to be my wrap for a burrito and she had put her bare hands on the wrap. I immediately went to the cashier and asked for my money back, told him I did not want the food and to please just give us our money back. The cashier was asking what happened and asked me to wait for the other woman to come around to explain what happened. He was really defensive, justifying how much people love the store and it’s clean yada yada. Sir that store has no ac, there is expired food on the shelves and just give us our money back, reluctantly he did after the woman came over. I have worked in kitchens my whole working life and that was unacceptable, someone is going to get very sick from there.

Ordered online gryo with fries in pic on my receipt. Get my food no fries. Go in to ask about my fries the lady said I only ordered a gryo. But in my receipt it show fries. They wouldnt give me the fries. Need to stop false advertising. I wish I could post the receipt

Whoa, what a hidden gem! Just went here for breakfast with my boyfriend. We got the breakfast burrito and the smoked sausage and egg sandwich. Both were delicious!
The smoked sausage was really great tasting and the egg on the sandwich is a real fried egg, not a weird instant egg patty like at most fast food restaurants.
The burrito had tons kit jalapeños and smelled delicious. Judging by the short amount of time it took my boyfriend to finish it, I’m guessing it was great!
We will definitely be back here, the prices are great too!

If you have children like myself and are picky eaters, the chicken tenders are fantastic,do not taste like a freezer not microwave and plenty of sauce options.

Best takeout breakfast in Vero. For a simple breakfast with no fanfare, this beats all other restaurants for taste and portions! Sausage gravy is second to none! I was thinking gas station food would be awful, I mean c’mon it’s a gas station!⛽ So delighted with all the food I have ordered from Vero’s Hero’s. The food is fresh, the portions are generous. The wraps and sandwiches are yummy and big. The fries are simply the best around. Even the steak dinner is delicious! Can’t beat the price for some really hood food! I definitely recommend Vero’s Hero’s!
