Tiny place in the back of another bar. I wouldn’t really call it a speakeasy. See pics for decor, which was minimalist.
Drinks were so-so. This is all anyone really cares about.
Mai Tai was overly sweet and one dimensional.
Puka-Punch was mostly fruit juice.
The best drink I had was the Three Dots & A Dash.
I’d only return if we were already in the area.

Had a great experience. The drinks were excellent with high quality ingredients and the bartender was a blast and very knowledgeable. I love Public Domain so I was very excited to hear they were opening a Tiki Bar in Minneapolis. Highly recommended and I look forward to coming back!

if you’re looking to cool down with some fun, flavorful, creative drinks Vern’s is the way to go! julian our bartender for the night came in with his witty and charming words and provided us with the best service! definitely try the daiquiri if you’re into drink that are creamy, cold and just the right amount of sweetness.
definitely recommend the food! bar’s that offer food never have great quality or flavor. BUT Vern’s is the only bar that i think offers high quality food! we ordered the Vern’s platter, which comes with wontons, lumpias, coconut shrimp, wings, and sweet potat fries! such a great way for you to enjoy all in one AND figure out what food you love! Mo was our chef, and personally handed us the food, which is another special experience!

I’ve been to many tiki bars in 24 different states. This is top three experiences. Jasmine and Damian were such great bartenders. They provided such a great experience. I will definitely be back when I come back to Minneapolis. I loved it here

Great food and drinks! The cheese lumpia is to die for. Definitely a must try. Loved the overall vibe, and the music added so much to the experience. A perfect mix of ’80s and ’90s dance tracks that kept the vibes going

Stopped in for a round of fun cocktails. Walk through Public Domain to reach Verns. Super cute and really yummy drinks. Just had dinner otherwise we would have tried the food. Great service!

Tiki bar with rather minimal decor, would’ve loved more kitsch with our cocktails.

The drinks and food are really just okay, they are certainly not worth the cost and most of the tiki drinks are not very big with mostly crushed ice. The food is almost entirely fried food which to me doesn’t go that well with tiki drinks. The decorations are on point and the best part of the bar. Both times I’ve been here the waiter was rude. One time I asked what the veggie burger is made of and he had no clue and didn’t offer to did out for me.

First time to this new place. Will be returning and updating. Only tried one drink. Kitchen was already closed. Excited to see the evolution of this bar as it’s currently the only “tiki” bar in the city proper.
