she was inattentive which was weird since we were the only table for most of the night. she also acted put out when i asked her for a clean cup since the one she brought me had lip marks on it.
when she finally came to take our orders. she was asked for a recommendation between two menu items. when they were read to her in italian as it is listed on the menu, she said she didn’t know what any of it was and asked for a menu description! she didn’t write down our orders (party of 7) and then came right back to say that they were out of one of the items. no big deal, but then she came back 15 minutes later and asked for our orders again because she’d forgotten everything.
15 minutes later, she came back and said they were out of the spinach ravioli i asked for. i ordered spaghetti instead and we probably didn’t get our food for about an hour after we ordered.
my spaghetti came with a huge pile of spinach on it (??) as though spinach was what i was after when i ordered the ravioli… both the steaks that were ordered didn’t come with mashed potatoes either like the menu states.
the waitress wasn’t checking on us so one of us got up to grab her and ask about. she said they were out of potatoes too but offered pasta instead. the two people who ordered steaks said they would like alfredo for the pasta, but she came back with bare noodles.
when asked for a sauce, she looked put out yet again! she came back with watery, milk-consistency “alfredo” and left.
when she finally came back with the check, we noticed that she charged us for the alfredo without telling us. we asked about it and she said that usually they serve potatoes with no gravy, so apparently that is a justification of giving someone plain noodles? if there are charges for something, you should tell people, or maybe reduce the price of the steak meal if you’re missing items on the plate?
we said we wanted the charge removed and she started arguing but then said in a rude tone, “whatever i’ll just drop the charge, i don’t have time for this, i have too much going on!” and she snatched the receipt, crumpled it up, and stormed off. she must’ve been in a hurry to get back to texting or something since i saw her on her cell phone instead of checking on the table at all.
on top of this, she had a small child (maybe 5yo?) with her who was picking his nose and touching the floor and running around and asking if the waitress remembered to bring a drink for us. she got mad at him and us when we asked for an additional box and he tried to go find one.
she was incredibly rude and is definitely in the wrong profession if she wants to have a kid with her, walk around in slippers, and treat customers like a huge inconvenience.
• Our waiter couldn’t have been over 16 or 17 and was pouring our alcohol.
• We were sat near the kitchen and I could hear them microwaving our food.
• The garlic knots were extremely stale, and our entrees came out within 5 minutes of us ordering. It was all very clearly microwaved.
• My eggplant parm wasn’t even breaded, just borderline raw eggplant with ricotta and flavorless definitely storebought sauce. It was laughably bad.
• The waiter forgot the bruschetta we ordered.
• The person I was with ordered the gnocchi, he said it was obviously microwaved, super dry chicken, seemed like the quality you could buy in the freezer aisle.
I’m honestly surprised this place is in business.
