Love this place so much! It can be so hard to hit that craving for Mexican food when you are vegan. This place does the trick! Also, the yellow wall in the seating area is an amazing back drop for photos!! 10/10 would recommend

Easily one of the best vegan restaurants in Santa Ana. If you are visiting the area I highly recommend adding El Zamorano your itinerary – you will not be disappointed. The food was delicious and seasoned well. There is a shaded outdoor seating area which is dog friendly (free treats included!). I am from the UK and I wish we had a similar offering back home. The staff were extremely helpful and suggested I try the California Burrito which I thoroughly enjoyed. I came with a group of friends and sampled the chips, guacamole, and other sides which were equally fantastic. Parking was available next to the entrance.

I wanted some good vegan mexican food today and I heard about this place so I decided to check it out. Their menu has many options so it was definitely hard to choose. The menu is very hard to see due to the glare of the monitors and the screen but it worked out. After the great debate babe and I decided upon the enchilada Plate, 2 potato tacos and 1 chorizo taco.

Let’s make this a short review and straight to the point. Food was good but for me too salty. The problem I have with some Vegan food is that they try to over flavor it, or deep fry it to compensate for the lake of tasty animal flesh. This food IS good but just not the healthy vegan stuff I was looking for. Give them a try and I would recommend getting the Chile relleno. Cheers

I was craving Mexican food but vegan and wow, did this place deliver. I had the 2-taco plate (crispy potato & asada) w/ rice & beans. with a side of chips and red, green and habanero salsas. 100% would get the crispy potato taco again. The shell was a bit puffy, which was awesome, and has house-made cheese, was very crispy and delicious. It would make a perfect pairing with birria if they had that. I wasn’t a fan of the asada taco (reminded me too much of steak which I guess is the point lol) so I will most likely try the hibiscus or cauliflower taco next time or just get more crispy potato tacos. The rice and beans could be more flavorful but that could just be my preference. The salsas were good, and the habanero was really spicy! Which was what I wanted anyway. I didn’t need the outdoor heater on bc that salsa turned my body temp up way high. Pay with cash to get a discount! You order at the counter (the person was friendly & patient even though she was getting calls left & right and people lining up!) And if dining in, someone brings it to you on a reusable plate. Pictured is my travel fork that I keep in the trunk of my car. My recommendations for improvement would be to offer draft beers (but I understand it requires getting a liquor license) in reusable glasses, offer reusable silverware, and allow people to bring their own containers for drinks. All in all, would recommend for anyone who has a hankering for Mexican food! Bonus points for posting crisis hotlines in the restroom.

The food is always fresh and made to order. Took my dad who is a meat eater and he did not leave a grain of rice on the plate. This time around I had the fish tacos. Perfect texture and great flavor. My dad had the bistec encebollado and he couldn’t believe it was vegan. Family owned and operated. Always a pleasure to support small business who are doing an amazing job

Great service from the cashier, menu it so dated that can barely be read. Horchata too sweet. Tacos 5 out of 10. There is no store name in front the restaurant. Overpriced!! Will not recommend to eat here if you are strict & on point with your authentic Mexican flavors!

Their stuff was so good! Their sour cream has me in a chokehold it’s soooo bomb. You really can’t go wrong with their nachos, I highly recommend them.

Ordered the taco plate online. Arrived about 20 minutes later and food was waiting on me lol. Sat on their patio and enjoyed. Tacos were good, as well as the rice and refried beans. Hit the spot! Totally want to try their other items. Was great timing since they weren’t too busy.
