I love seafood. Traveled and lived all across America, Europe, and Japan. Varney’s is a total hidden gem. The service is friendly and welcoming. The place extremely cozy and welcoming. I’ve been wanting to go here forever since I always pass it. The place is cute and cozy with plenty of outdoor seating. We decided to sit outside. Service was great. I ordered the lobster roll, cold. It was fantastic. I definitely wanna come back and get it again. My fiancé got the burger and he says it was delicious. The menu had plenty of good options, so we’ll definitely be back.

I went here for the first time yesterday. It doesn’t look like much when you drive by but there were lots of cars. A good indicator that the locals approve. What a fantastic come as you are friendly place. We got shrimp cocktail appetizer, a fried flounder sandwich, seafood bisque, a beer ( good assortment) and surprisingly a great Bloody Mary. Staff was so friendly and happy to answer our questions, seemed to know the regulars but treated us just as well. Staff worked well together all doing what was needed. Prices were very reasonable. No need to dress up. Just go and be glad you did!

Had a wonderful time at this little gem after strawberry picking at Glover Farms. The fish sandwich was terrific and the atmosphere was quaint. The service was kind and attentive, and informed us this place has been around for 42 years! We will be back!

The food was delicious as you can see I finished mine I had the lobster roll ( hot ) my first time trying it and I would get it again ( recommend you try it ) the drinks was good . Overall it was a good eat as my first time there . The waitress was very attentive and polite and sweet . If you haven’t tried this place you should ❣️

First off let me say this varney’s has been around a long time and the food is just delicious and great but I was disappointed when we ordered the special steak dinner because it only comes with one side if your paying almost 40 bucks for a “dinner ” it should generally consist of 2 sides for a complete meal that is a dinner .

We used to visit family on Long Island every year when I was a kid, and I remember we would come here all the time. It’s been many years but I finally got back here and it was just as great as I remember! The seafood is fantastic. Whenever visit the island in the future, I will DEFINITELY come back!

Monday dinner. No wait, as it was around 5pm. Also slower than normal. Ordered baked clams & Block Island chowder for appetizers. Came quickly and was hot & superb. Ordered the Shrimp Louisiana special. Delicious shrimp and veggies over rice with just the right seasoning. Service was on the spot. Never wanted for anything. Going back soon.
