We normally visit this place once a month well we haven’t been there in about 2 months or so we went in tonight and what a mess it was the reception couldn’t understand what item I wanted even after googling photos and showing her. She was very sweet and nice but it was very hard and overwhelming communicating to her what I wanted. I ordered egg drop soup and a fried rice no meat in it. The egg drop soup was delicious however the fried rice was suppose to be a large and the rice is normally browned with eggs in it (well not this time) it was absolutely shocking and disgusting.

Well, this was my first Chinese takeout in TX. It was just below average. The call in order was great, the staff was very nice. Driver was nice. This was the first time I’ve ever ordered fried rice and there wasn’t anything in the rice. Not a single veggie. It was white rice tossed in soy sauce. This was not good at all. The Mongolian beef was just ok. Very little beef and mostly onions. The general Taos chicken was just blahh not great not horrible. Crab puffs(rangoons) were edible but probably my least favorite I’ve ever had… I sure hope I find a good Chinese restaurant here in Conroe. I sure miss my favorites back in FL.

Great pho. Pho is all about the broth and these guys nailed it. Very strong, broth while not being heavy. Loved the crab puffs as well. Servers were great and very helpful. Too bad I dont live closer or id have them deliver like every day. Very tasty Thai tea from scratch too not like other places with the powdered kind. Would recommend.

The people that had owned this place must have sold out and moved on. I have been a customer of Van Thong for about 20 years and had always loved the food and service that I had received. Until I called to order a delivery and got the beef soup and beef fried rice. After I got the meal and opened it, I found that the beef was almost raw. I don’t mean under cooked. I mean raw. I called up to ask about it and they said they did it that way because they expected me to microwave it to cook it. I was then told that they would no longer continue with the delivery service that they had been known for. It’s a shame that the restaurant has new owners because I will never order from them again.

Recently dropped the Chinese cuisine items off their menu, and serve exclusively Vietnamese food only. So don’t go here wanting Sweet and Sour Chicken. But their Pho is very good, and traditional Vietnamese dishes on their menu are plentiful. The smiling and attentive service is what makes this a good dining experience.

Vietnamese food ever! It wasn’t the Chinese food I was looking for getting but the Pho was out of this world just like their service! The waitress was sure accommodating to everything I needed. The atmosphere was also very bright and inviting!
