Food was excellent. We tried the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and it was a great Italian take on the classic southern dish.

The Alfredo was great. The sauce is not super heavy like some Alfredo’s I have had and I much preferred it this way. The flavor was great.

Salmon was a 10/10 it was cooked perfectly and the sauce paired incredibly with the Brussel sprouts

Four of us had dinner here April 25th 2025. We had reservations and the table was ready on time. There was a lot more seating in the restaurant than I expected. They have a back section and an upstairs area.

I would have liked to give this place the full five stars but held back based on the food quality. Two of us had the Seafood Risotto which was very good. I believe this was the most expensive menu item. On of the parties said theirs had lots of lobster shell fragments in the risotto, but the other was fine. One party ordered the Manicotti. Unfortunately the tops were torched for presentation, but the result was a top too hard to eat. And it was like eating sand as the hard parts became mixed in with the filling. The taste was good, but this ruined the dish.

We also had appetizers. The fired green tomatoes were fine but the calamari was extremely salty and had a bit of an off-putting fishy taste. I get calamari at restaurants often. It varies quite a bit. But this was probably one of my least favorite.

Our server was great. We did give feedback on both items and were offered a free desert, but didn’t feel like having anything.

My wife and I had heard good things about this restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. It is right on the square by the courthouse and Versailles has done so much to develop that area. It really has a good vibe around there now! The restaurant is beautiful and the food was very, very good. After you finish your dinner, there is a bourbon bar right next-door for a little tasting.

My wife and I went to this beautiful restaurant for Father’s Day and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and far better than other places we’ve visited in the Lexington area. The service was outstanding, ask for Sophia, she’s an awesome server. Great cocktails and wonderful dessert choices. The place is very accessible and surrounded by gift shops and next to a great coffee shop. Do yourself a favor and go for lunch or dinner.

My book club likes to have a nice Italian dinner once a year, and I love the charm of downtown Versailles, so Vallozzi’s was a welcome departure from the norm. It was the first visit for all 8 of us.

The space is outfitted beautifully, but very dimly lit, as you’ll see from my attempted food photos. We were seated in a room adjacent to what I’d consider the ‘main’ restaurant, down a hall that passes through a server station; it felt disjointed. This dining room was clearly the main artery to the kitchen, as the doors never stopped swinging open and shut, and foot traffic was constant. And strangely, there was either a cold food assembly or dessert station in the corner of the room, where again, an employee was working non-stop, and plated dishes were being set out for pick up right next to a table of diners. I kept hoping no one at that table sneezed.

The bread and whipped ricotta (I’m guessing?) with herbs and olive oil were a delightful prelude to the meal, but I think we all indulged a bit too much. Everyone had overwhelmingly positive things to say about their cocktails and entrees. If anything, a few dishes needed more salt and one (the pizza) was thought to be too sweet, but the portions were fair and nearly everyone needed a to-go box. I opted for the manicotti, which was somehow rich and yet lacking in flavor, surprising considering the menu description. It wasn’t bad, but I would try something different next time. I thought the lasagna Tuesday deal was probably one of the best values on the menu, as it came with a salad and no other pasta dish does.

Despite being painfully full, several of us couldn’t help but order dessert. For me, it was the Banana Pudding Tiramisu and that was the star of the show (and the envy of the table). The combination of pudding, rum soaked lady fingers, and bruleed bananas was DIVINE. I did wonder why it was served cold, but I didn’t dwell long on that thought as I inhaled every bite.

Our server was clearly busy and yet incredibly attentive, giving great suggestions when asked.

While this wasn’t a perfect experience, it was pretty darn close and I definitely want to go back with my husband and try another entree! And a glass of wine, when I’m less pregnant.

Had an absolutely amazing meal to celebrate our 22nd Anniversary! We drove in from Louisville and it was totally worth it! The lobster risotto & gnocchi were the stars!

Wonderful ambiance, service and food 10/10 will be back. Insider tip upstairs is very romantic. Highly recommend the crab cakes. Cappuccino to have after is perfect.

I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and the attention to detail in every dish. The portion sizes were generous, and the flavors were authentic and delicious.

The new Italian restaurant has quickly become a favorite of mine, and I can’t wait to return to explore more of their menu.

Beautiful restaurant, that appears great for couples and small and large groups. Has covered outdoor seating. Went for lunch. Food was amazing. Homemade noodles and the sauce was outstanding. Tiramisu is so delicious! The staff were very friendly but toward the end of the meal a large party came in and it took excessive amount of time to get someone to come back to our table. Definitely will give this restaurant another try but they need to work on the timing of table service when busy. Hopefully just an anomaly .
