We went there in a big group with approx 15-17 people. The server was good with interaction but not helpful with suggesting group what to order, explaining sizes of the portion. Later server and her assistant both were just putting food on table, no checking on people, no follow up and worst service as if they favoring us. Their final check has tip included and therefore they don’t care to serve people as regardless they getting tip. Moreover, food is just average, if you not coming here, you not missing anything. When back in days this place used to be good so when i was visiting after 4 years, i was excited to try out but not worth for all excitement.

This place is absolutely flawless; amazing food, great service, and a stunning atmosphere. Only had a five day trip and been here twice. The guy who serviced us (Ramson) what a great guy and catered for my nephew as well. Guys if you are in NYC you have to come here.

On our last night of our NYC family vacation we really wanted Indian food. But we were not sure where to go. We found Utsav on a quick search. It was within walking distance and it said it was spacious. We gave it a try. The food was excellent. The dining room was full of tourists like us but that didn’t matter. The service and staff was top notch. We had butter chicken and tikka masalla. Small thing – the naan bread was next level good. Tasty cocktails as well. While we were trying to avoid eating near Times Square this place is a tucked away gem for Indian. I only wish we could have taken our leftovers.

We walked into Utsav during the lunch rush on a weekday and found the atmosphere a bit too loud to be enjoyable. Being seated close to other tables is expected, but the very open floorplan, while aesthetic, meant you could hear every conversation in the room.

Good Indian restaurant for family/ corporate. Seems to have a closed big dining room for invite only event. Popular among indian. Staff is courteous. Tea is not on menu but you can get it.

The food here is really tasty. And the service by Richard is exceptional. We went after the kitchen was closed but they were kind enough to serve us as my parents wanted to have only Indian food. Receptionist Apolina was very helpful in getting us a table.

We had a decent experience here on a Friday night. The dishes were tasty, and the garlic naan bread was to die for (super buttery and flaky). The cocktails were slightly disappointing – we had the vodka passion, which was way too strong. The turmeric margarita was also just ok. Service was a bit slow on Friday night – but beware that a 20% gratuity is included.
