A seafood institution in the historic port city of Acre, is refreshingly unpretentious. Set within a weathered stone building near the water.

Always a great experience at Uri Buri.

This is one of my favorite spots in Israel and I’ve been going there every time I had a chance in the past 15 years.

Their expertise is seafood and I’ve never had a bad dish there. This time I got the tasting menu, which is an untraditional one. It’s not a fixed menu but they give you half size dishes from the menu according to general directions you give them for what you like and what you’d like to avoid. At the end, the cost is just calculated according to the number of dishes you got. If you get the tasting menu be aware that it is usually more focused around the appetizers and cold dishes unless you instruct them otherwise.

My top dishes would be any of the shrimp dishes, the crab meat in coconut milk, and the cookie San jack scallops. However, everything else is also great, they have a lot of options and I recommend you to try the half portion of a few dishes if you come with a small group and want to try multiple things.

For dessert, I recommend a homemade knafe and a few of their home made ice cream flavors.

On top of the food experience, the location is amazing, very close to the water in the old port of Akko (Acre), very historical and beautiful.

One of the best places I’ve eaten lately.
Portions offered in two sizes. Waiter urged small dishes so we could taste more. Good advice!
Mostly seafood. All the dishes were good. Lovely soups.

We love Uri Buri and make sure to have at least one dinner or lunch there each time we visit Israel. The quality of the dishes, the consistency of the high quality, and the wonderful fresh ingredients make it one of the top restaurants in Israel. I’m not sure how long it’s been around, but it’s probably over 30 years, a strong testament of its level. We had the Gargir Salad which was excellent and the Seafood Soup (bowl) that was superb. We also had the herring, which was a bit have on the mayo. Main courses were the Barramundi (amazing) and the European Sea Bass (great, but not as good as the Barramundi). Remember to leave space for the desserts! The ice cream is amazing (we tasted 6 different kinds – roses, sage, and geranium were the best) and the KNAFFE which was excellent and not too sweet (I liked this, my wife less so). The location is amazing and the servers were friendly and professional. Go there! You won’t regret it.

Best restaurant! The atmosphere is so professional and quiet, but yet authentic. The waitress was top level, and very pleasant.
The food was just delicious and interesting and it is not that high budget. This is totally worth your money it is the best restaurant!

We visited for a tasting menu dinner as part of a deal through the Effendi Hotel. It was a fantastic experience; the variety was immense, and most of the dishes were simply superb.

The service was top-notch, with a team of waitresses who were incredibly attentive and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the seafood/fish soup and several of the raw fish dishes—truly a culinary highlight.

The only downside is that the space itself isn’t particularly designed or “special” in terms of decor. But if you’re there for the food and the service, they are both absolutely amazing. It was an excellent evening.

An unforgettable experience from start to finish. The food is pure art. Fresh, delicate, perfectly balanced, and full of character. Every dish feels thoughtful and inspired, with flavors that linger in the best way.
The atmosphere is warm and intimate, and the service is attentive without ever being intrusive. You can truly feel the passion, history, and soul behind this place.

The food was impeccable. The best mushroom soup I have ever tasted, smoked salmon with wasabi icecream, shrimp on artichoke, fresh bread and mixed seafood on a bed of Israeli couscous, to name but some of the dishes we had the pleasure of experiencing. The standard of service was exceptionally high. Uri and the waiting staff went above and beyond to ensure our culinary experience here was memorable and positively delightful. If visiting Israel, this restaurant is worth the journey from any part of the country.

This is a wonderful place for seafood!

They do offer vegetarian choice if you are vegetarian but meeting friends there, you’d be fine.

We really enjoyed everything we ordered and they are all delicious. I’d recommend the Bruschetta, St. Peter’s fish, octopus and their cerviche.

For the main course, they are so tasty and it is a fair size. Be mindful for the number of things you order. We had mixed seafood with couscous and sea bass in a cauldron. We ended up taking the latter dish to go.

Overall, this had been a true finding experience. It’s great and also quite friendly with kids.

The only caveat is you might get loud and annoying people talking very loudly next table…

One of the best restaurants in Israel! Best seafood dishes, with unbelievable combination of tests, color and flavors. Services is very good and highly recommended to book a table in advance.
After reconstruction, they got back to their original location and the food is great as ever!
Enjoy ☺️
