Husband & I came Feb 17th during peak dinner time with no reservation. They had live music and seating outside was unavailable which was okay by us. We were just happy to have a night off from our kids lol. Food was amazing though we did look through the menu before arriving so we knew what to expect. We ordered the Moroccan Lamb Sliders and the Blue Crab Artichoke dip as our appetizers and we were so excited to try, I almost was unable to get a pic. I ordered the 8oz sirloin and it was amazing. My husband ordered the 16oz ribeye and he loved it. It was a little loud inside but we didn’t mind. We had a fantastic time celebrating our anniversary here and we cannot wait to return.

This was our first time at Urban Prime after a very long wait. My husband and I rarely have baby sitting, so we took advantage of a local company offering a Parents’ Night Out!
The only reason I will not give a full 5 star review is because of their wait time. We had a reservation and still had to wait 1 hour for a table. We sat at the bar for the first hour. Our service was amazing, the bar tenders were more than attentive and made us delicious drinks. We also ended ordering some oysters after 30 minutes of being told we still had to wait.
We would not have waited for a table in the main dining room if we had been told that it would take so long. Poor communication by the hosts, in my opinion.
Their saving grace was our waiter Brock. He was truly amazing and really expedited our food when we explained that we were in a hurry. We were able to get our food and eat in less than 30 minutes, which is not my idea of an enjoyable meal, especially the first time experiencing a new place. I like to take my time and taste different items. I would have also liked to try a dessert. Our meal was very good and the portions are very reasonable.
In all honesty I was underwhelmed by the atmosphere, but I will go back to the bar and just order some drinks and apps.

Urban Prime was a great dining experience! The food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our waiter Julia was very friendly and attentive, checking on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was relaxed but upscale, perfect for a nice evening out. We’ll definitely be coming back!

New to the area and decided to try Urban Prime on our 20th Wedding Anniversary. I don’t think we need to ever go back again. With so many high reviews we were excited. Only to be left disappointed. My husband’s salad was all lettuce and half a slice of cucumber and a tomato. It was so sad. It took forever to get the old fashioned he ordered at the beginning of the meal. Then the entrees came out. His food came out great (the filet & loaded baked potato) mine (the wagyu & pomme puree) not so much. It’s like the kitchen forgot all the flavor and the steak wasn’t cheap. The purée was the worst part. It was so bland. No seasoning at all. The dessert was some sort of spiced cake and it just wasn’t good. And to add to our misery the utensils for our desserts came out dirty. Our server Annekay was great. She listened to our complaints. We just didn’t need more food.

Great food and service. Just visiting Melbourne and was very impressed by the hospitality from the staff. I loved the paintings and lighting of the restaurant. Food was delicious. It was hard to choose what to eat. Our waitress AnneKay made my night with a complimentary birthday dessert and attentive service. Overall definitely recommended for a delicious night out.

Let me first start by saying that I had a wonderful service both times that I have visited. Once I sat at the bar and had great conversation with the bartender, and the second time (yesterday) I did takeout and the hostesses were patient and kind while we placed our order. Both times the food came out very quickly.
I am incredibly torn, because I feel like I had two very different experiences here with their food. When I came before a couple of weeks ago I had the Prime Burger that was so incredibly amazing that I dreamt about it. The fries were wonderful on their own, and I wished that I ordered an extra side of fries for later. I held off writing my review then because I wanted to come back and make sure it wasn’t a fluke.
Last night, I got the same burger again and because I raved about it my family decided they wanted to try this as well. We ordered 3 burgers, one cooked medium, another cooked medium well, and the last cooked well. All of them looked like they were cooked medium with full pink almost to the edge of the burgers. Seasoning and flavor were good however, and my mom and cousin ended up putting theirs in the oven to cook them further. The burgers came with coleslaw which had an interesting flavor—it was dry but tasted like it used to live in a sauce or vinegarette situation. I don’t know if it was like this last time because I was so in love with the fries and burger that I didn’t try it. My cousin also ordered calamari as an appetizer and it had zero salt/seasoning, and I’m not exaggerating. The sauce with it was helpful, but I feel like you shouldn’t have to rely on sauce.
My father ordered lamb sliders and mushroom soup, and said both were incredible and would absolutely get them again. Even my mom fell in love with the soup and she’s not a mushroom fan.
The outdoor area is really nice, there’s a fire pit and the two times that I came there was some great live music playing. The patio is dog friendly (as long as your dog is friendly the sign says) so that’s a bonus if I’m looking for a place to eat with my furbaby in tow.
Overall, I’d absolutely try a third visit here. The menu is deep, and that’s not even including a whole separate sushi menu. Worst case scenario I’m leaving with a side of incredibly delightful fries and a perfectly done medium burger (sorry mom and cuz)

The banana nut waffle was absolute perfection. Light and fluffy on the inside with just the right crisp on the outside, it had a rich banana flavor that tasted fresh—not artificial—paired with crunchy walnuts that added the perfect bite. I was disappointed the first time I visited Urban Prime—but the new management is absolutely killing it. Their first “Bourbon at the Urban” event this past weekend was a 10/10 experience. The food was five-star across the board, with standout pairings like peppercorn-crusted venison loin with Booker’s “Jerry’s Batch,” smoked honey bourbon lamb chops with Wild Turkey Rare Breed, and bourbon-glazed beef tartare with Elijah Craig Barrel Proof. Each dish was paired perfectly with top-shelf bourbon, and Lindsay, the Sommelier, and whiskey specialist, guided us through each pour with passion and precision. Add in fireplaces, a live jazz band, and flawless service—and you’ve got one of the best dining experiences in town. Can’t wait for the next one.
