Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Just keep on driving to any other Whataburger or do not go during this night shift. Ordered potato, egg, and cheese taquito and got sausage in there as well. Won’t be going back!

Location sucks. Manager absolutely doesn’t care about if they mess up your food. Waited 25 minutes in line with one other car and my food came out cold AFTER we had to go in and ask where our food is. Also, saw a cook digging in the their butt crack the last time we tried to go in and ask where our late curbside order was. That was the last straw for us ‍♀️ don’t go here.

The crew at the Friendswood Whataburger on Parkwood are amazing. We took our four grandchildren there yesterday and ate inside. The people working there were very accommodating and all with a smile! We enjoybyhe food and the atmosphere, but the people working there arebwhy we continue to return! Good job guys and gals!!

This is the only FAST food place that parks two lines and makes you wait 15-20 min. The guy behind me ordered his food and got his now, he has to wait for the two cars in front (me and the one infront of me) to go. This service is set up in a horrible manner. I will not come back. The crazy part is NOONE is inside getting food.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience at the Friendswood Whataburger was incredibly frustrating. I placed an in-person order on December 23, 2025 at 7:15 PM and didn’t receive my food until over an hour later. By the time it arrived, it was cold and poorly prepared.

The drive-thru line was extremely long, and other customers were honking in frustration. I understand that mistakes happen, but the wait time and quality of service were unacceptable for a fast-food restaurant.

I reached out to Whataburger corporate for assistance, but was told that in-person orders cannot be tracked or refunded through the system, and that I would have to return to the store to request a resolution. I’m a paying customer, and it felt like my concerns were dismissed simply because I didn’t order through the app.

It’s disappointing because I’ve had good experiences at other Whataburger locations, but I won’t be returning here unless they significantly improve their service and handling of in-person orders.

Whata nice experience we just had!
The gentleman at the drive-thru window wiped the drink cups before handing them to us! He’s the first person we’ve ever seen do that – very thoughtful! Usually, we get sticky, dripping cups from every other fast food establishment. Not to mention, food was very fresh and piping hot!

Encountered the rudest lady ever working the drive thru at 3:44am 10/29. Didn’t catch a name. We pull up she just says “whataburger.” Okay, we start the order. Dead silence. Suddenly “I’m just waiting on you to finish that order.” My friend apologizes immediately. But no; clearly not a satisfactory response for her. “And the drink? Hello? Coo-coo coo-coo” genuinely made that noise. Slams our drinks down at the window and hands us a torn bag. Oh my god. Truly wish I got her name. I’ve never ever encountered someone so rude for genuinely no reason at all. Never in my years of working with the public have I ever neared that level of vitriol. What happened to this whataburger???

Placed an online order. Waited over 30 minutes in the parking lot. Had to go in and get it. Ended up with cold burgers and fries. I don’t mind waiting but not for cold fast food.

They’re bound to make mistakes, that’s normal of food service. That’s why when I went recently I didn’t make a fuss about the flavorless Coke I got with my order (they definitely needed to change out the syrup bag)

What I will complain about is their drive thru cashiers. Every other time I ask for a combo, and do not specify large at all, I get ringed up for a large and given a large. If I wanted a large combo I’d ask for one! The extra money isn’t worth the slightly larger Coke and marginally larger fries portion. No other local fast food place defaults to a large combo when not asked, always a medium because that’s the standard size everywhere.

It’s not like it’s busy when I go too, this most previous mishap was midday on a Thursday with the lunch rush already winding down.
