We don’t live close by, but the trip is worth the wait. The quality of the food at this place is underrated. The fried fish tacos are incredibly made! But if you’re curious, the pork belly, grilled fish and Philly cheese steak versions are really good choices as well. Fresh, artfully made with attention to detail & hand-made corn tortillas that hold all of that goodness together. It’s so good. There are no frills, indoor/outdoor seating is first come first serve after you order at the counter and there are attentive waiters hurriedly cleaning tables to set up for the next guest to snag. The portions are generous and the prices are fair. Love love love this little place. I wish they had more locations, it would be our standard Friday night hangout.

Had a great experience at Urban Fish Taco! I ordered the two-taco combo with carne asada and al pastor, and both were absolutely on point; flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The location couldn’t be better either; right on a prime corner of The Shoppes at Chino Hills, which makes the overall vibe even more appealing. Definitely worth checking out if you’re craving great tacos in a lively setting!

We tried the surf & turf taco, the salmon, the fish and chips, and the asada fries. Everything was delicious! We will definitely come back.

Came in for their Thursday specials. Ordered grilled white fish, fish and chips (Thursday specials, $11.49) and a 16oz Estrella Jalisco ($5.50)
The portions of the food is generous, considering the price. Fried fish is good, but the white fish tastes bitter, probably because it’s charred.

Update: I’ve upgraded this place to a 5* even though the tacos aren’t the most authentic, but they do taste very good. I tried the pork belly taco for the first time and it was very tasty. The Baja fish taco was still one of the best and freshest in town.

A nice place for a quick and tasty meal in Chino Hills’ The Shoppe. It has a covered outdoor seating area that is great for some fresh air. The place has pretty much maintained it’s reasonable price when other places have jacked up their prices by 15-30% in Chino Hills. They also add new items to its menu ever so often. I just tried the grilled barramundi filet in blackened Cajun sauce and it was quite satisfying. The portion was big and the taste was very good. This place may be selling tacos, but it’s a long way from being a Mexican restaurant.

Update: I’ve finally tried its Baja fish tacos and I must say they were very good. The fish was very fresh and the corn tortillas were good as well. Though it’s not like what I remembered having in Baja, but these gringo tacos were still very good.

Update: We’ve finally tried the fried chicken tacos. Okay, it’s not authentic Mexican food, but they were very well made and tasted very good.

I looove this place. The seasoning is always perfect. I normally get the cajun salmon with fries and a side of a shrimp on a stick,(thats what i call it . Now what surprised me is how good the margaritas are. I recommend the strawberry flavor. He regular lemon flavor is goos too, and it is in a slush form. I start out with the ahi tostadas. The best on the market. Dont believe me, go try them. You really cant go wrong with this place. Yale your family and friends. Nice area also. Right around the building is a small shopping mall so you can go walk off the food.

Friendly staff. had indoor and outdoor seating. My shrimp was alright. The sauce was nothing to get excited over, but the shrimp were cooked nicely. Wish they would have taken the tails off before cooking, though. My partner had the tacos (Baja Shrimp, Spicey Shrimp, Asada) he enjoyed them, said the Baja Shrimp and Asada were his fave. We were neighborhood shopping, this was a great stop for us, and if we venture back this way, we definitely would give Urban Fish another go.

The food was fresh hot and came out quickly. Everything tasted pretty good the only thing I had a concern about was the corn tortillas. Felt like they were a bit undercooked. The ahi poke tostada was great!! Wife enjoyed her pork belly tacos. The chicken taquitos were decent. This was our second time back and we are likely to be back to try other dishes.

Came here on a Friday night around 7:30pm. Restaurant was not full but also not empty, about 5-6 tables were seated.

I got the 2 fish tacos combo with rice and beans. The 2 fish tacos were HUGE! The batter is really crispy and it’s a pretty big piece of fish. However, I was disappointed with the rice and beans. It came out with white rice (?) just dumped on the tray, with a bowl of soupy beans with parmesan cheese (?) on top.

I think there were around 3-4 workers going around and cleaning. The girl at the register was super nice and friendly. She answered a lot of my questions. However, it was a little hard to wave down a worker to get some to-go boxes. I ended up getting it myself since it was on the side next to the barstools.

== AMBIANCE ==
It’s a pretty big restaurant, with 5-6 barstools, 2 handicap barstools, lots of tables, and high tables, and even an outdoor seating area. I think it took over the old Bruxie.

For the longest time in this area there wasn’t any good spots to grab some beer battered fish tacos at, since Urban Fish opened up my need has been fulfilled. The owners are great to speak with, they’ve got a lot of staff around and generally the food doesn’t take too long to come out. I’ve had a few times though under the same order when I have a small group where some things come out extremely early and then the rest comes out after I’m already done eating. Nonetheless, the quality of fish in these tacos is astounding and the sauces and slaw add that perfect touch. The ahi poke tostadas are also light, really fresh and the size of them is probably bigger than you’d think! These are just my go to’s but from friends and family who also order different items off the menu, there’s really nothing to complain about here! I always find myself coming back…
