Visiting Kansas City and decided to explore the downtown area. We stumbled upon this cool establishment and decided to give it a try. The unique theme makes this place inviting! Arcade games, decent drinks, and also outdoor views of the city really make this a trendy spot.

Great place to relax and unwind. They have a wide variety of classic games to play at 25 cents per play. They have great happy hour prices, for example, tonight they had $2 pizza slices. The employees are super friendly and helpful. It is a great atmosphere with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
The food is limited to pizza only, but it is pretty good.

What a fun place!!! Whether you were raided in the 80’s or not, this place is great! We have gone to the Up Down in Des Moines and loved it. Same owners, but the vibe is a little different. Bartender was super helpful and friendly. He said they now will have 6 places. They have one in Nashville and are even opening up one in Birmingham. We ordered pizza from a different counter and the service was good. Make sure you go around everywhere as there are games hidden around every corner and level. We parked down the street at a meter. Looks like there is outdoor seating so when the weather is nice you can sit on the patio. Lots of drink choices and games to play: skeeball, pinball, vintage games, etc. Love it!!

I cant even rate this company.
Im a 100 percent disabled veteran with a driver.
They didn’t have the capabilities to understand what legal Id’s for military service and harassed me entering their bar by telling me come back with a driver’s license.
To go into their bar, I have to get a driver’s license, even though my disability prevents me.
This bar discriminated against a disabled veteran, most likely due to lack of training.
But when you throw it back at me like its a me problem.
Your games aren’t worth that level of disrespect.

Up-Down is the coolest arcade bar! I love this place. They have every old arcade game imaginable. Including pinball and ski ball which are usually big hits lol. And the games are usually all working too! It’s amazing. They also have the Nintendo 64 out for people to play. It’s also pretty cheap. They usually have great deals on the token prices and we always have left over tokens.
And they have the best pizza by the slice. The slides are hugeeeee and delicious!!!
There’s also a patio with a couple yard games. And even an upstairs outside!
Virtually no parking though so park on the street somewhere a walk a couple of blocks.
Have been coming here for years and it’s a great spot to take any friends from out of town. Vibes and aesthetic are on point.

Good drinks and great games! Go during your birthday to get 40 free tokens! After 9pm the place starts to get busy but it’s still manageable! The bartenders are amazing and friendly! I will be going back during the summer because it seems like they have great outdoor seating!

They have great deals and specials multiple times a week. The games are old so sometimes they don’t work perfectly but most work in pretty good condition. The atmosphere is fun and energetic. There is a wide variety of activities to choose from. Gen X take some friends and have a blast from the past. Millennials and younger, find your new favorite place for some drinks and fun.

Great time for a night on my birthday. Quarter Arcade games and well priced Brews of all sorts. Very relaxing atmosphere and easy to hold conversations… My Donkey Kong was quite rusty, but the price was right for a Great Time!
