Traveling through Clayton we decided to give this spot a try. We sat outside, there was a band setting up to play later. The food was delicious. My huaband got the Steinbeck burger & I got the brisket french dip. Good atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great little bar/pub in downtown Clayton. Bar seating and some high tops and good size outdoor patio seating. Good size and variety food menu, plus full bar with usual draft beers and a few basic crafts. Food offering may be a bit slow to arrive, but is very tasty. When they say spicy, it is. All good, all around, and the conversations at the bar with Becky were friendly and supported overall good vibes of this place.

Been here a few times, and overall a pretty good experience. Large menu with plenty of different foods to try out. Service is often lacking and left waiting for refills or requests. Dog friendly as well!

Discovered this place on our way back to Florida. Since we are both nerds and plant-based eaters, it can be hard to find places that will host all 7 of us. Universal Grill had a few straight plant-based options and some options easily modified. Also, right down the road from a place that sells board games and some tabletop adventure books. We had fun stopping for a couple of hours to eat and walk around.

We went to the hostess and were told we had to wait 35 minutes for a table. 14 tables were open. They didn’t have what we ordered. So we ordered something else. There was live music. A man and a woman playing Bible school music with a ukulele. I’m being generous with the rating.

What a fun quirky way to rejuvenate an old service station. Atmosphere was good. Our food was good except the overcooked tots. Only crunchy, no tater left inside. The worst part was the service. Our waitress was missing until time for the check and to work hard for a tip when the meal was over. She sat with the rest of the employees at a table doing what we don’t know. There were multiple employees standing at the hostess station the entire meal, on their phone and drinking coffee. There were maybe 2 employees actually working. The young man delivering food to tables was excellent. He was probably the hardest worker there besides one lady waitress. I wouldn’t come back nor would I encourage anyone else to stop in while traveling.

Convenient downtown location offers parking out front on the street or behind the building in a public parking area. Outdoor seating available inside is more seating and a bar area. Shared mens/women’s restroom at this location. The food was good, wonderful fresh produce made a nice Greek salad topped with grilled buffalo shrimp! Additional fee for credit cards at this location. Dine in or take out.
