Stopped here based on other reviews and it did not disappoint! Everyone was incredibly friendly. The pizza was delicious with a nice crispy crust (even on the pan pizza). Good beer selection. There were a LOT of regulars enjoying the fish special (the pieces were huge and looked good). The price was nice too!! We watched group sizes from 1 to 8 of all ages come here and get seated quickly. Highly recommended! We will definitely be coming back!

A Hidden gem of central Illinois right off of route 66. The food was fresh and flavourful, I highly recommend the steak skillet for breakfast!

The owner was very friendly and generous, I will definitely be back soon!

I stopped by Uncle Vait’s Pizza in Lexington for their Meatloaf Special. The meatloaf with brown gravy had great flavor, and was some of the best I’ve had in a restaurant. I’m definitely looking forward to having it again soon.

The garlic bread was a good, sweet Italian bread. Something else I loved was that instead of getting a side of fries or coleslaw, I was able to choose a side of spaghetti with meat sauce! I also enjoyed the house-made ranch dressing. Courtney was a great server.

I also got 2 pizzas to go. One was a thin crust taco pizza for my wife, with toppings on the side (toppings not pictured). The other was a deep dish pizza. Both pizzas were good.

And for all this food, the price before tip was around $32, I believe. Incredible.

Potato soup was delicious. Ordered crispy chicken tenders and got a plain flat chicken pattie with nothing on it but the bun. Was dried out. Other food people got looked delicious.

What a great place. Super friendly staff. One lady who wasn’t even my server came up to me & just wanted to say hi & check on me. The food was awesome and I recommend this place .

Great homey diner along Route 66. Top 10 onion rings for us… Family salad was very, very simple, but astonishingly fresh. I’m VERY picky about lettuce, and frankly a lot of restaurant salads use lettuce is old & limp that they taste like literal garbage to me. This lettuce was SO crispy!!! Pizzas come in two sizes – small and HUGE (16″). We had been hiking, so ordered the huge and it ended up being twice what we could eat. Delicious thin crust. Perfect cheese with awesome pull & well-balanced sauce. However, if you want crispy all the way to the middle, I suggest ordering a small. The large was perfect on yjd outside, bug middle was bit soft.
By far, the best part of our meal was the service. The older lady who waited in us was super fast and welcoming without being intrusive. Drink refills on time. Both good & our bill came quickly. And just the right amount of charm. That lady was a master! Thd ptuces were another high point. Its not unusual for us to drop $60 on a dinner like this. Here, it was less than $50, which was the crowning jewel to a perfect autumn day at Mathiessen State Park.

Great place along Route 66. Friendly service and unique offerings. We were biking in the rain and were able to sit it out while enjoying a great lunch. We have the Cuda, the Crisper, onion rings and fried mushrooms. Sandwiches come with a cup of soup, which was this day – stuffed green pepper soup – really warmed us up after coming in from the rain.

What a great experience! Took my neices here for their birthday. They loved the play area. It was clean and had arcades and a play kitchen. The owner came around and asked us how we were doing. It was a very friendly experience! I wish we had a place like to in North Normal. Ha
