Came here for girls night and had a blast! Adil was our server and was phenomenal. He made sure everything was good and that our drinks never ran low. Friendly service, fun atmosphere, tasty food/drinks, and great music. I will definitely be making this my go to!

Started with fresh homemade tortilla chips and salsa brought to the table. Not sure why the salsa was dark in color. But it was good and had a little zing to it. Then had the Tortilla Soup, also good. Finished my meal with the Roberto’s (seasoned beef enchilada, crispy beef taco and pork tamale with red sauce.

Overall we had a positive experience. Our server was the best, however my girlfriend received the wrong meal and wrong drink.
The food that we did get was tasty, however, the price did not match what we received. Dinner for 4 people, 4 drinks and no appetizers should not cost $181.
Mind you, I was the only person who ordered an actual entree: carne asada (which was delicious). The rest of the table ordered enchiladas and tacos. Two of us took advantage of the $6 margaritas, that basically tasted like the mixer with a slight hint of tequila. The price point of the food was definitely higher than what you can get from your local Mexican restaurant.
Was it the worst experience? Absolutely not. Would I consider going back? Maybe for the $12 taco Tuesday.
Chicago and the greater Chicago land area offers such a wide variety of Mexican and Latin food that is much more affordable and authentic, that you could pass on Uncle Julios.

Overall I had a good experience at Uncle Julio’s in Old orchard. I got the carnitas de la casa plate. In general I enjoy carnitas and this dish was really good compared to others I have had. My servers name was Alejandra and she was very attentive and friendly, other restaurants don’t always consistent service, but had good experience with their server Alejandra. She was always making sure my water was filled and knowledgeable on the menu. Even though I always pick carnitas, I was curious was else is good on the menu. Overall good experience.

We met another couple here for dinner bc it was a pretty neutral location for us to meet at.
My wife ordered a margarita and it tasted like it was made days ago.
I had the braised carnita street tacos which were good. My wife ordered the “Roberto” and it came out cold. Seriously??
Our server was M.I.A. most of our 2 hour time here and really never checked in to see how our meals were or if we needed anything. The place wasn’t busy by any means.
Then I used the washroom which was absolutely disgusting! Looked like it hadn’t been serviced all day. Urine all over the floor, sinks dirty, trash cans over flowing.
Makes me wonder how nasty the kitchen might be. Doubtful my wife and I will return.
We have a REAL Mexican restaurants near us in Mt Prospect with AUTHENTIC food for A LOT less and much cleaner.

I love their Chips and Salsa! The atmosphere was warm and lively. Everything came out quickly and tasted amazing !! Especially those margaritas. The service was impeccable and the server who helped me, Alejandra was patient and kind and even offered suggestions to certain menu options. Definitely a spot I’d return to for a good meal.

Its always nice to go here. There’s always plenty of room for seating, food is consistently good, and the wait staff is quick. They don’t always seem efficient (removing empty cups from table after giving a fresh one) but that might just be an experience issue. Overall, its a good option for some good Mexican food.

It’s a beautiful restaurant and good ambience. Service was amazing, the waitress was very helpful in providing us help with vegetarian options. Surprisingly, not many options were available for vegetarians.
Mushroom tacos were delicious and the house guacamole was decent. The only other option was a cauliflower bowl which was ok but I expected more from this restaurant for the money you pay here.
Chips were very oily and the salsa was ok. Nothing special.
