I like writing these first-time-ever reviews because it’s generally always a positive and interesting experience to visit an establishment for the first time. First-time ever reviews are a first impression review so it’s possible the second time you visit will be more of a solidified review. Well now that I got that out of the way, this recent visit to Uncle Charlie’s was my first time eating here in all my existence of living in Cheyenne. I’d say my first time eating here was a really solid experience. First off, the atmosphere was surprisingly not noisy despite a bar being attached to the dining area. I was still able to hold a conversation so the noise level wasn’t bad. I also liked how we were able to pick our place to sit. Moving on to the service, our waitress was friendly and attentive but not too attentive where she hovered so it was a good balance. Now getting to the most interesting part of going out to eat and that’s the food. Well, to start the wait for the food wasn’t long at all. The burger was really good and I’d say sufficient size for an entree as well as it was cooked the way I requested. The fires were just as good and complimented the burger very nicely. I will also say we ordered an appetizer and it was my first time eating Rocky Mountain oysters. What an experience that was. They are very interesting tasting that’s for sure. I have no critiques but I think if I were to reach for any improvement I’d say I would love to see their menus get updated because the menu we had was in some rough shape and falling apart. I know this is an older establishment so I’m sure these menus have been around for a long time. Overall, this first-time visit to Uncle Charlie’s left a good first impression and I look forward to eating here again.

We had kind of a large party. The waitress was busy but did a great job checking on all the tables. She took our drink order right away and came back fast and took our food order. The wait for food or drinks was not long. She brought a pitcher for refills so we didn’t have to wait. The food was great. We all tried different things on the menu and there were no unhappy people in our group. I highly recommend the Charlie dip. I substituted grilled onions for mushrooms. The flavors were amazing in that sandwich especially the bread. The Shrimp Alfredo had quite a few shrimp in it as well. We were impressed with all of it! My only complaint was a group or loud, obnoxious guys were in there which is not on the restaurant since this is a bar and grill after all.

Stopped by UCs for a beer and some munchies. I haven’t been in there in over 12 years and I guess it’s good that some things never change. I mean even the carpet was the same and I’m pretty sure that some of the patrons were the same group of folks that were there years ago. Good ice cold beer, tasty munchies, and great service. Still a fun place to go.

Went to Uncle Charlie’s for lunch and I was not disappointed. I’ve lived here my whole life and have been here multiple times, but I have never eaten here. This was the first time. First off, the atmosphere is great in the restaurant. Even though it’s smaller and the tables are closer to each other than you realize, it’s still great. The service was amazing. The service was attentive to our needs my water glass never went empty and dirty dishes were quickly taken off of the table. There are a lot of good looking choices on the menu, but today I went with the Grilled Chicken Breast salad and even though it’s not as dressed up as other restaurants, it was just perfect for me. I love that it was simple and I didn’t have to wade through a full layer of croutons. The chicken was cooked perfectly and it was enough to fill me up. If you haven’t eaten here, I highly recommend it. The service alone is enough to want me to come back out and eat here.

We had a friendship gathering for our friends who no longer live in Wyoming and they were visiting Cheyenne for the holidays. Good atmosphere the place has been here for decades our waitress was awesome good drinks.
