We decided to go in for a quick lunch on a Saturday and it was an excellent choice!! we were in and out in an hour, and had great sushi and service! Everything was very fresh! Even the gyoza was not the frozen stuff that most places seem to use and tasted freshly made. We got soup and salad, which were also both excellent and although similar to other Japanese sushi restaurants, they were slightly different. The flavors of each of the 4 sushi rolls that we had were distinctive and fresh. Our server was also very polite and attentive, even with the several other tables she had in there. If you are looking for a great date night or even just a really good meal, go to Umi!

We ordered the spring roll, tuna tataki, rainbow roll, and ninja roll.
The spring roll is a cucumber roll with avocado and imitation crab. It’s very delicious, crunchy, fresh, and light!
The rainbow roll had generous cuts of fish on top, so I loved that. It’s a very simple, delicious roll if you like raw fish.
The ninja roll was good as well. It was very comforting- warm and delicious!
The tuna was awesome, the ponzu sauce is drinkable! So so good.
We had a great experience and will definitely be back!

Eva and Malary were wonderful servers. The food was so excellent I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a calm beautiful atmosphere with professional and kind staff. The food is top tier. We ordered the hibachi filet mignon. It was tender with a flavor that needed no season. It can stand alone. The fried rice was perfect as were the vegetables. We will be making Umi’s a regular stop on our itinerary.

I can not say enough good things about this restaurant. We ordered the filet mignon and the spring rolls to start. The steak was tender and beautifully seasoned and the spring rolls delicate and beautifully plated. Malery and Eva were superb staff. Attentive and kind. The atmosphere was perfect and calming. I highly recommend this restaurant ti anyone with discerning taste.

First time trying it and it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately our small serving plates weren’t too clean (which was nothing crazy and was a simple small error)but the waitress was super super sweet and was so sorry and promptly got us taken care of with not another single flaw. The food was quick and delicious. Even the food that was said that would take awhile to cook came to our table faster than any other sit down restaurants. Highly recommend, and will be coming back

This was our first experience at Umi and we were so so impressed! All solid wood tables and chairs, great atmosphere, and AMAZING sushi. We got the $45 three roll combo with three top-rated customer-favorite signature rolls and we were not disappointed. One waitress was serving all 7 tables and was doing an amazing job. All tables get a free soup and salad appetizer with their purchase and the miso soup was some of the best we’ve had! The salad was a typical side salad with yum yum sauce but it was a pleasant surprise. We brought our baby and they had sturdy booster chairs for us to use.

Umi has the best Sushi in Springfield. The service is always great, and the food is extremely fresh and prepared quickly. The salmon especially is outstanding. The OOH Roll is out favorite (if you like salmon), the Springfield roll has steak in it and the Golden Bridge roll is a regular item we order.

So. So. SO good my husband and I went here for my birthday, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was great, and the atmosphere was really calm and peaceful which is a weird way to describe a restaurant but that’s how it felt! lol it was so nice. And the food was incredibly yummy! This is my new favorite sushi place. I got the ninja roll which was delicious (although the pieces were HUGE and we were both laughing so hard at me trying to fit them in my mouth ) My husband got the teriyaki chicken hibachi and loved it. We had a great experience here and can’t wait to go again!

Do NOT get the hibachi. Normally I get sushi and it’s great. I came for lunch today and got the chicken hibachi, and the vegetables (carrots, zucchini, and onion) were barely cooked – all very crunchy and basically raw with no flavor. Other reviews for the hibachi were good so I took a chance and it was not worth it. Service was wonderful, atmosphere great. Hibachi that bad was truly disappointing.
