Please give them a try!
I tried the chicken katsu curry don based on asking the server for recommendations, and oh my gosh…. WOW. So so so delicious, have not been able to stop thinking about it, its that good! May have to come back for it at least once a week moving forward lol
Also tried their miso soup and seaweed salad. And and let me tell you, I have not really liked either in the past, but, their’s have thoroughly changed my mind. Both were so yummy!
Prices also seem fair to me for the quality of the food, the clear effort put into the presentation, and the generous portions (I was SO full). My meal was $23, not including tip, the chicken katsu curry don was $18 and the seaweed salad was $5, the miso soup came with the chicken katsu bowl I believe. Didn’t get a drink aside from water, but I remember sodas being $3.
Stopped in Saturday afternoon, there were only 2 other groups dining in aside from myself, so a very peaceful environment. Most orders seem to be online pickup/delivery for now. But I hope they will be busier in the future, they deserve the business for sure.
Friendly, attentive, and quick service. Everything looks very clean as well, which is always a plus.
Will absolutely be back and highly recommend!
Only got a picture of the seaweed salad, but will definitely add more in the future:))
We also got the chicken katsu bowl- the katsu was perfectly textured, and the curry went with it magically. To be honest, for me, it was ‘Ratatouille’ food and in that it transported me to our time traveling and living in east Asia. That’s the true power of food experience.
Thank you, Umai, and I look forward to trying many things from the menu!!
