I had incredibly salty food that had to be sent back and remade. The same was said by the table of 5 sitting next to me. It was salty enough that I could not get myself to eat it. The chefs can see out into the restaurant, and I was stared/glared at multiple times as they recooked my meal, which was not comforting. The second plate came out, and I could only eat the rice, as the veggies and the meat were still too salty to consume. Both sauces that came with the meal had rancid tastes. The only redeeming quality of this meal was the attentiveness of my waitress, but that wasn’t enough to bring the 1 star rating to 2 stars. Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I’m thankful that they comped my meal, but still very disappointed.

A reservation should be made if you want to sit at a grill and not at a table in the restaurant side, as they are generally very busy, and grill seats fill up. The food is excellent, the chefs are entertaining, and they have a massive variety of fresh made sushi options. Expect to spend about a minimum of $30 with an appetizer, but there will likely be likely be leftovers to take home, as you get a ton of food… rice or noodles, shrimp, veggies, soup and salad come with grill entrees, and combo entrees include dessert.

I’ve been here lots of time as well as the sister places in East Lansing. Normally the sushi is amazing! Today not so much. I ordered the Rainbow and Crabby Patti. What came out was not those. I asked told my waitress (who was really nice) that they weren’t right, she did confirm my choices but said those were it. The Rainbow is supposed to have an assortment of FISH on it. What got served to me was a roll with shrimp. Shrimp is not fish. The crabby patti also had tempura inside but the description said it didn’t. I have food allergies so that’s a big deal. Overall really disappointing when usually so good.

You have to love the show they put on and the experience of the chefs cooking everything right in front of you. There are lots of food options so you can find something you’ll like. Kids love it, and it’s an all-around great time.

We were here regularly before the pandemic and ordered takeout a couple times during the PHE. Always fresh. Always delicious.

We went here thinking that we would have a nice dinner and a show from the chef, but he actually didn’t do any performance like the other chefs at the other tables. We ordered the fillet and shrimp, and the lobster; it looked delicious but he made it way too salty. We gave it 3 stars because our server was just very prompt and courteous, or else we would have given 2 stars.

It’s a good one time experience but the food is not worth the money. The hibachi cools are fun to watch and do a good job.

I order to go for lunch a lot. You can’t get delicious, fresh, & nutritious anywhere at this price point. The staff is always super nice and helpful.

We (party of four) did not have reservations, but were promptly seated. Hibachi tables were not available, those were booked up, which was fine. Cocktails, soup and salad were served in promptly and then we waited. And waited. The server brought us an appetizer to share, gratis, because of the delay. At this point we had not even asked about our order. After an HOUR, and watching every table around us get served, we asked about our entrées. We were told there were still four orders ahead of us. There were literally three tables seated after us who ate and left while we waited. There were no apologies from the manager, he just said we had to wait. Our meals came out shortly after that, but the three of us who ordered steak all received it well done, not even remotely close to the medium rare we ordered. Nobody came to check on our meals. Nobody gave us the plum wine or ice cream that was part of the meal. Late for a hockey game as it was after spending 2 hours there, we paid and left. The food isn’t terrible. But the overcooked steak, lack of accountability and responsibility of the management and failure to fulfill the dessert portion leaves me thinking I’ll visit other options rather than return. Previously I’d had decent experiences. The attitude of the manager really ruined it overall this time around. Would like to have left a good review. Sad to see this place is not what it used to be.
