We went here on Valentine’s Day. Yes they were packed. They were busy. We ordered as soon as the server got to our table. We ordered sushi and an appetizer, then we put our dinner order in as well at the same time. The server who was very nice and overworked while trying to juggle at least 10 tables on her own. Let us know that our entrees would be a while. We understood. Our sushi came out rather fast and it was delicious, we waited and waited and waited almost an hour and never got our other appetizer, finally our server came over and said she thinks someone took our appetizer and she had to put it back in. Another half hour our food comes out with our appetizer, at the same time. I ordered the teriyaki salmon and I added on filet mignon. What I got was four pieces of chewy grizzly steak. Definitely not filet mignon. My husband ordered shrimp and steak and his steak was the exact same as my supposed filet mignon. But he got five pieces and five little shrimp. For $42 it didn’t seem worth it. Our fried rice was just soaked in oil. The vegetables were hard. I told the server I could not justify paying 18 extra dollars for the filet mignon because it was not that. We both had ordered our meat medium rare and it was very well done. She took the 18 off but our bill still came to $103 without tip. We definitely tipped her good but we couldn’t believe we spent $103 and we were not even full and we were very dissatisfied. Only reason I gave anything any stars is because the server was very nice and was trying very hard. Wish we would have left left after our sushi. We could have saved so much money and not been disappointed.

First I want o say our waitress was great. But with that said compared to other Japanese steakhouse we have been to this was probably the worst. We could not be seated on the hibachi side. Not a big deal as we have seen the show before. But just because we sat on the sushi side shouldn’t mean our food is different. We were not given the shrimp appetizer that comes with each meal. My scallops were so small and they were shredded into even smaller pieces. The rest of my familys steak was over cooked, the veggies were way under cooked, some were cold and everything was under seasoned. It was definitely not worth the cost.

Brought 5 people here for dinner the waitress was great. Guy cooking messed up my son’s order gave him steak instead of salmon. Didn’t ask us how we liked our doness of steak which was over done.. Burnt all vegetables and shrimp which he discarded 2 shrimp an continued to serve the other 4. Spent way too much money for so little taste. Won’t be returning here. Management did try to make it right tho good on them.

My family and I eat here often and mostly take out, the last two times we’ve ordered the fried rice has been way over cooked. This last time we ordered both sushi and Hibachi and our sauces were not put in our orders, the sauce is essential! Also the fried rice was sooooo over cooked this time. Everyone is really friendly but I feel like quality is going downhill greatly, we hope that the quality will return to what it was in the past.

Compared to other hibachi restaurants, their food wasn’t great. One egg in the fried rice for 8 people. Pay extra for fried rice and noodles (standard at most hibachi places). The soup tasted bad. No one in my group of 8 liked it. The shrimp were underseasoned. The cook was nice. The waiter was nice (but a little overworked with 5 tables). It’s not that it was awful; it just wasn’t good and there are plenty of other hibachi places that get it right. Wouldn’t go back.

Great food, great service. The only downside is they won’t seat groups larger than 10 on the Hibachi side apparently, and they won’t split a large group across 2 tables either. This was a huge disappointment to us. Hence the low rating on “Service”. The actual serving staff here is excellent though!

Rick was phenomenal, legit the best service and kindness I’ve ever seen in an establishment. I will be back solely based on how good he was. Food was great

Everyone loved their food. Lobster, shrimp, steak, scallops, chicken, rice & vegetables made by the cook at the table on the grill. He put on a good show. The waiter was very attentive. The place is very clean & has nice astetics.
One of the 1st bathrooms I have seen in years that did NOT have urine on the floors in front of the urinals! One of the cleanest bathrooms I have seen in a lone time. That was refreshing & I think very important in a restaurant. Yet, most don’t seem to care anymore. I was happy to see that this establishment does.

I normally do not post, last night we went to Ukai for my birthday dinner as it is normally our go to restaurant. However last night’s dinner was so bad that we could not finish it. I know everyone has off nights but our vegetables were burnt which means everything that was cooked after the veggies also had that burnt taste to it, so needless to say my lobster did not taste like lobster it tasted like chard burn vegetables. Not to mention that the chef who was cooking everyone’s meal would wipe his sweat off his face while over the cooktop. Not pleasant.

Maki Maki spicy tuna roll with four signature sauces was maybe the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Good service and great beer prices too.
