I was only in Reading one night and I’m so glad I chose this place! Everything was excellent – atmosphere, service, food. I had the crab cakes, my wife had the fish and chips (I sampled). Highly recommend both. And good choice of beer on tap. You can’t go wrong with Guinness, of course.

We stopped at this very iconic spot to get a pint and a bite to eat before a concert. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. Staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs, even squeezing us in without reservations which was very much appreciated. The fish and chips were amazing, and the crab cake was delicious. They have a nice selection of beers on tap to boot. Parking is available on street or in some of the lots close by. Very much worth a trip downtown.

While in Reading for a concert we stopped in for dinner. This is an old style pub with an Irish flair. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Food was very good. We enjoyed the crab cakes and the fish and chips. The prices were quite reasonable considering the food we had. Definitely worth checking out.

Love this place. Got the scotch eggs. Stopped in here before going to see Nurse Blake with my coworkers. The woodwork is so cool, I hadn’t been here for years but hope to get back sooner! I scarfed everything down but did manage one photo. 🙂

By far one of my favorite spots to go downtown (other than Judy’s on Cherry). The food was so freakin good, best scotch egg around! Drinks are always spot on and love the low key rustic atmosphere. Let’s not forget the exceptional service no matter how busy they are! Definitely recommend

As an Irishman living in America for many years, this place is a gem. Excellent fish and chips and legitimate pint of Guinness. Possibly the best pint I’ve had in the states.

Authentic Irish pub serving up delicious food, endless Guinness and loads of nostalgia and happy memories. A true gem in the heart of downtown Reading, “the O” was our place during my college days. Delighted to see that the friendly atmosphere, fresh seafood, excellent service, and good vibes are exactly as remembered—and Pee Wee is still keeping an eye on the bar! Best place to be any day, especially on St. Patrick’s Day. You can’t go wrong with a creamy Guinness, juicy oysters, and one of my longtime favorites, stemmed middleneck clams. It’s all fabulous. Cheers!

Just moved up to PA from Florida about 8 months ago and have been seriously craving some raw oysters. We drove 40 minutes to enjoy some oysters and beer.
The restaurant is gorgeous, the atmosphere was really cool and felt like you were walking straight into an Irish pub in Ireland.
The beer we got was flat and not very cold. Our oysters were the most disappointing part. I don’t think they spent any time cleaning them. They were filled with grit and shells to the point we couldn’t even stomach finishing them.
Was really looking forward to coming here and not sure if it’s from growing up on the coast with better seafood availability but definitely not a place I’d be coming back to for oysters.

The servers were great. The meal was great too and reasonably priced. The dessert was delicious
It has a nice atmosphere and a substantial selection of beers.
Because I was alone I ate on the bar side.
There are other people here but I left them out of the picture ️
