If you’re looking for an authentic diner experience with epic portion sizes – look no further!! I ordered the “chorizo skillet” (a little bland.. that’s why I gave it 4 ⭐️) & the “Dairy Land Belgian Waffle” – (10 of 10 recommend!). Our waitress was wonderful & we don’t have to wait long at all for food or coffee refills. Definitely give this place a try if you’re looking for a local breakfast joint!

Me and Dave we were driving on Cottage Grove Road we’re about to turn around but I saw this nostalgia looking restaurants I told him to turn in there and Park so we go in all of a sudden nostalgia classic atmosphere I ordered Eggcellentburger and ordered the Dairyland Burger how much are you this the eggs on a burger was awesome the burgers were great the pasta was great the crema chicken rice soup is great. The service at this restaurant was great the waitress the people I’m telling you if you’re on the road on a road trip stop here and eat this restaurant is worth it will give you the family feel.

Crepes are to die for. Best around, bar none. Omelettes are great and American Fries as well. Portions are exceptional and if I eat here in the morning I’m done for the day. Love this place!!! Waitstaff ALWAYS friendly and very welcoming and attentive.

11am on a Sunday all seats were full but we only had not even a 10 minute wait.
(Post food I would wait longer if we ever make it back here)
Our waitress was so fantastic I wish I had reasked her name to put it on here, great humor, happy, talked to us just enough but didn’t intrupt us, genuinely interested in conversation not like she was forced to listen to us.

We had a 3 meat skillet & corn beef hash skillet. They are MASSIVE. My husband commented that we should have only ordered one for both of us as we basically left one between both our plates.
They were HOT and stayed hot the entire meal, we actually got to talk and eat instead of rushing.
Our coffee cups never stayed empty long.
The bakery case and fantastic creations definitely caught our eyes but we did not due to our travels and time of day. Plus that menu is HUGE.

If we ever make it back to this town we will absolutely be back.

Its sad I have to be apart of this. My bf and I went to this restaurant. Unfortunately it wasnt good. We walked in tables werent wiped down. we sat down got soup and salad..that was with the meal we didn’t order separately mind you. Firstly you could tell the soup was sitting, had that metallic metal taste to it. Then I asked for the the stake on the menu it said you get the soup and salad with it. The blacksmith stake says *chopped* stake not *ground. English is very important in that context when it comes to food.
What I got was hamburger patty.. with onions on. i wish I took a pic. I gave it back. on the menu didn’t it say *shredded stake meat*. they charged me for the soup and salad.. 4.45 for a small bowl of soup mind you. 3.50 for a salad.. the only good thing was the fries mediocre best. I would not recommend this place. I won’t be going back.
The fact that they dont know what stake is that was a lie and i shouldnt have gotten charged with the soup or salad because that was included in the meal. Plus, If the tables weren’t clean.. I cant imagine what it looks like in that kitchen.. Just saying
… eat at your own risk.

Breakfast this morning was phenomenal! Was greeted and shown to a table and our waitress came over quickly to greet us with cups of ice water. I loved that. I had banana french toast and it was absolute perfection. I also had a biscuit and it was better than any I have ever had before.. my coffee was brought out on a saucer. Another nice touch. I hope to go one more time before I head home to TN

My fiance and I went to Dairyland Family Restaurant after a drs appointment. We choose the restaurant because of the expansive menu. I ordered a hot roast beef sandwich and coffee. He ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich and coffee. The coffee and food was not as hot as it should have been.My roast beef was cut in large pieces but it had a rubbery texture to it and little taste. My fiance said his food had little taste. We left over half of it. Maybe the breakfast food is better. I don’t think I will find out. The waitress however was very friendly and brought the food to us fast. That’s all the good I can say. Sorry.

We were in the area and stopped by yesterday Friday afternoon. The waitress was very prompt and courteous. I had the Beer battered Cod and Cottage fries. It also came with Soup and salad. I chose Clam Chowder and Cottage cheese. Both were good. The fish and cottage fries were very good and you got plenty of it. My wife had a smelt dinner, which was also good, she said. We both left with leftovers, enough for another meal. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop by
