My wife and I found the place by googling halal fish and chips decided to give this place a try and very glad we did. The menu was excellent we had chicken and waffles and fish and chips everything was delicious. The brewed African coffee was excellent, only wish we had a few more days to try out everything on the menu. The brothers were warm and friendly to us. Highly recommend.

Fish&chips, chicken&waffle and a whole bean pie. The food is okay. The waffle was thick and fluffy. Coleslaw tasty. The bean pie is yummy. 30+ minute wait time????

It’s small so most customers take their order to go. I order the fish and chips. I enjoyed the fish and the wheat roll. Fries where salted with some seasoning salt. The only negative is that they put raisins in their coleslaw.

I was very disappointed. I hate to right this review because I want to support my fellow Muslims. However the food on this particular day was pathetic. It wasn’t fresh at all and seemed like it was warmed in the microwave. I won’t go back again.

UEDF was in a kind of blind spot for us. We’ve been past it hundreds of times and suddenly the veil was lifted and we could see it. A spot so interesting we had to give it a try. Found a wonderfully authentic place run by an authentic gentleman.

All food is Halal here…we ordered beef burger and fried chicken. It’s worth the price. The best thing I admire is the choice of brown bread on the burger. We later tried their bean pie.. it tastes so good that we decided to come back for more.!!! 5 stars for the food in this price and for the service.

had take-away fried w/ & coleslaw for under $6 cooked by attentive and welcoming small business owner. enjoyed outside seating with mountain views in a friendly neighborhood. halal options and tons of candy options (for young visitors from the mosque next door!?) building also serves as community center &c. shop local, Altadena!
