My husband and I have been coming here before the new owners took over when it was Rita’s and we loved it then. Under the new ownership and new name “Tye dye cafe” we love it even more. So awesome seeing a young couple working together and rocking their dream of owning this cafe. Not sure of his name but the man who cooks the food is excellent at what he does and we always leave impressed. They make their biscuits and gravy from scratch, and we think they are the best in town! SO good! One thing I might add and not in a negative light in any way, is that it is really small and they seem busier than ever. We love coming here for the small town feel atmosphere and usually come when we don’t have any where to be so we don’t mind a little bit of a wait for our food(well worth it I might add). So if they are slammed like they were this morning, go there with that mindset and be patient, enjoy your coffee, and be happy that you’re supporting what seem like awesome people! ☺️

I travel all over the country and always look for small “mom and pop” places to eat. They’re always the best, from my experience. So when I was in Redding looking for breakfast, this little place came up.

My husband and I were hungry, but didn’t want to do fast food, we just happen to be at Harbor Freight and saw this cafe across the street, we’re glad we went here, the food was good, prices were reasonable. We would go back. Thank You Tye Dye Cafe!

What a treat to meet the new owners of Rita’s Kitchen yesterday! The food was scrumptious & the joy of new ownership palpable. We just happened on this little breakfast place on a road trip south. I think we might even go out of our way to eat there on the way home! It’s the best taste of American life- the food, the dream of a young couple cooking together at a Mom & Pop place & the regular customers enjoying solid (and delicious) meals. I think you’d love it like we did.

Good food HORRIBLE SERVICE. We came in for breakfast and 3 customers that seemed to be regulars came in after us. They proceeded to serve all 3 customers before they even started our food. One couple that came in after us finished their meal before they even started our food (you can see the kitchen so I saw them start our food) after waiting for about an hour for a simple breakfast 2 of our 3 orders were missing items or incorrect. The food was good but I won’t return because how poorly we were treated.

Wonderful people with good service. I had the chicken fried steak which was a little off on the flavor. I will go back again.

Randomly stoped in and I’ll be back! Fun local spot. Owner operated. Great service and food. I hear the French Dip is a big winner so that’s next on my list. NEW MANAGEMENT.
