I tried out Twisted Taino during Taco Week, and had the 3 Street Chicken Tacos which came with the Street Corn Cup as the taco week special. Everything was fresh and good. There was a generous portion of chicken in each street sized soft taco, it was tender and cooked well but there was no seasoning at all on the chicken so at first bite the tacos were very bland. After adding some of the corn and pico however they were delicious (I don’t do avocado sauce so can’t comment on that). The corn cup was disappointing. I tasted very good but really was a soup, not a cup of corn, lots of broth (and no spoon provided). If this is the same as the $5 corn cup on the menu, I would say it’s not worth $5. Overall though everything was good and I plan on going back to try some other things on the menu.

Mofongo was delicious, honestly my favorite. Birria tacos weren’t bad, but needs more flavor. Chicharon had great flavor, but a little dry. Side of elote was not my favorite the mayonnaise tasted sour and it was sprinkled with tajin. No cheese at all. The portion sizes are really decent. This was not a peak time when we came in, there was one customer in front of us and our food took 25 min so honeslty that wasn’t too bad. The food was hot. This is not a fast food restaurant so don’t expect your food to be done 5 min after you order. The music was definitely a little loud for my liking, and no we weren’t near speakers. Inside smells amazing, but can be a bit overwhelming to sit inside. I always recommend people trying it themselves.

If you do not try the food here, you will regret it. Just unreal and amazing flavors with super fresh ingredients. The people here are so nice. It’s all around a really great place. The twisted nachos are a HUGE portion. They pile it high. The pork is to die for! I can’t say enough good things. You have to go here!!!

Decided to try this spot after taking care of some business on the Westside today. I did have to wait like an hour cause I waited until I was at the restaurant to order. The young lady working the register was very nice as well as the young man who grabbed my food. It smelled so good I couldn’t wait to get home to eat it. I got the monfongo, street corn, tostones and a empanada. I paid for some quac however they didn’t put it in my bag. The only thing I don’t like is the monfongo is missing the red onions. Other than that everything is delicious.

There’s some mixed reviews on the portion sizes and the waiting. We ordered the Cubano and the trifongo, both of which were delicious and extremely filling, couldn’t have been happier with the portion sizes. The Nutella shake was adorable and tasted great. We went around dinner time on a Thursday and everything came out at a normal rate. We were very happy with everything and plan on being back.

First off. This place is great. Second. It can be pricey, but doesn’t have to be. I found a really good coupon for $15 off on my Yelp app and also got a free frappe. Third. I really enjoyed the full experience. From opening the door, conversing with the teller, and eating my food while enjoying the tunes and vibe.
