We went into Twins for the second time ever this morning. Our first experience was so-so but Fiddlestix had a long wait so we decided to try it once again.

My husband didn’t like his breakfast and he told the waitress. The waitress offered him a to go container. Who offers a to go container when you don’t like the food? Then she refused to take the plate away. She never even asked if he would want anything else. The owner was like well that’s the way we make it here. If you own a restaurant you should know how to run it. I’m reading the reviews about charging for water. That’s ridiculous!!! Even if it is filtered. I did see the sign about no outside drinks or water bottles. They should put a sign on the door that they charge for water. This way customers won’t give the waitresses a hard time and they know in advance. Now I know why the restaurant was so quiet when we went. And if you pay in cash you get a receipt to take to the register. Otherwise they use the machine in front of you to charge. Now a days I just pay cash because I’m tired of the extra 3% credit card fee. It adds up!!

Canolli French toast was ok. The eggs were also ok. As you can see, the steak was a bit off. It was ordered at medium and received in this condition. All but the very center was well done and it tasted old. I requested to have the steak corrected and was instead argued with by the staff, they cut it in half to reveal a smidge of pinkish gray in the center claiming it to be medium. They brought the steak out correct temperature the second time but it was still very unpleasant tasting. Like it was an old, frozen, low quality strip. We also had corned beef hash which tasted ok but was extremely dry, and coffee-flavored water which was barely drinkable. I came here because I was told it was the best place for breakfast, really disappointed.

I only went once but everything tastes very sweet from the chili to the beef hash and eggs. The chili was spicy as described but sweet at the same time like sugar was added. Service and facilities were great. Taste of the food was not for us.

The people managing this place charge $2 for a glass of water. I asked the waitress: If I walked in here severely dehydrated and needed water immediately, would I have to pay $2 for it? Her response? “Yes, of course.”

Awful experience all around. Food was no better than mediocre. We were sat outside in direct sunlight (we did not choose the table), and when we started overheating we asked to move to a shaded table. We were told we couldn’t move to the empty table next to us because they were busy and it wouldn’t be fair to other customers. The table remained open for the next 20 minutes while we burned in the sun. We ordered iced tea and the drinks came with so little ice that they were warm within minutes. When we then asked for water they mention that they charge for water. It felt like a joke – they trapped us in the sun then extorted us to pay for water. Also they have signs saying you’re not allowed to bring in your own water bottle! Truly wild. Our waitress also disappeared mid service never to be seen again. As the cherry on top, of course they upcharge for paying with a credit card. Honestly a terrible restaurant. Will never go back and would warn others to choose literally anywhere else to eat.

Great food, service, and coffee. Once you get past that they charge for water, everything is solid. Only place I’ve found that does some chorizo dishes really well. Will come back.

The burger was delicious but the root beer stole the show. Fantastic customer service and wonderful experience. Glad I got the chance to enjoy it while watching the rain coming down

Food was pretty good overall. Where this place drops the ball is a $2 charge per each person wanting water. No, the water isn’t bottled. This is for filtered tap water. I’ve eaten at thousands of restaurants and never have I seen a $2 charge for “filtered water”. Seeing as how water is one of the 5 basic essential for life, I wasn’t expecting to have to pay $2 for each of my 3 young children as well as the adults. What’s next? A $5 up charge for the shelter they provide while you’re eating at their establishment?

Just left. Sunday 4/23 @12pm. They charge $2 for tap water. Be careful. Also, they don’t show you the bill before charging. Had I seen the breakdown I would have not given a tip. Not worth it. Will try to find another breakfast spot.
