The mamosas.. my goodness.. were delicious. So glad we stopped in Tupelo for breakfast. The service was good and our server was attentive and provided a great customer experience.
Our food was well prepared. Must try: collard greens and fried chicken

We came here for a birthday dinner while visiting Grand Rapids and loved it. We tried the fried green tomatoes and biscuits for our appetizers, and we liked both. The biscuits are absolutely delicious, and we loved the goat cheese grits that came with the tomatoes.
Really cool vibes inside, and great food. We’ll be back!

I’m Russian, came here from the west coast recently and I love to try a little bit of everything wherever I go. Fried green tomatoes were absolutely amazing. I’ve personally never cared for grits previously and this was a delicious match up. Poblano chicken soup did not disappoint, I ordered a second cup. The chicken itself I would personally rate a 6/10. The sauce was good and the preparation was good but, I will personally try the boneless though next time. I myself am not the biggest fan of chicken. The bartender had honest feedback and did not steer me nor other customers wrong! The honesty was refreshing, the service was on point, and the food was worth a Sunday evening outing. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

We stopped into Tupelo Honey for lunch and had a great experience. Our server, Fuchsia, was incredibly sweet and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we sat down.

We couldn’t resist trying the “Biscuits for a Cause” with blueberry jam, and they were an absolute treat—fluffy, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal.

Their weekday lunch special is a great deal: half a sandwich and a side for $12.95, available Monday through Friday until 3pm. I went with the chicken pecan salad sandwich paired with the chicken poblano soup, and the combo was perfect—a little sweet, a little spicy, and super satisfying.

Highly recommend for a relaxing and delicious lunch in downtown Grand Rapids!

During a recent business trip, I had the pleasure of discovering a charming southern kitchen nestled in a cozy neighborhood. My brunch presentation of each dish was meticulous, from the vibrant, perfectly plated Brussels sprouts appetizer to the succulent mountain flank steak, cooked to perfection. The spectacular food was complemented by the serene atmosphere of sitting on the spacious patio, surrounded by lush greenery under a clear, blue sky—truly an ideal setting. The service was exceptional—attentive without being intrusive, with staff members genuinely welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. I washed down my meal with a refreshing cold brew, which was expertly brewed and served icy cold. Given the memorable experience and the quality of the food and service, I would eagerly dine here again—absolutely, in a heartbeat.

I will def be coming back here. My spicy chicken and waffle was delicious. My mimosa flight was also very good. The only negative was me and my daughter were say next to a table where someone was served to much alcohol. He was swearing loud dropping a F bomb every sentence. He kept throwing his wallet and cards by my feet. He couldn’t even get himself out the restaurant and him and all his friends left their cards at the table dealing with him. So I got up and gave all the cards to our waiter to go chase them down. ( Now I get that problem was just because we were in GR for a college hockey tournament and so drunk college kids is to be expected). My 3 star atmosphere rating will easily be upped I’m sure from my next visit. So please go try this spot if you are in downtown Grand Rapids!

The okra was fantastic! I had the farmhouse omelette which was super goey with melted cheese and an ever so slight spice from the pepper crema. The matcha was OK, not a contender for my personal favorite but refreshing.

I read really great things about the franchise and we were looking forward to it. Sadly we were disappointed. The fried chicken was tiny, poorly presented and dry (overcooked). Collard greens, dry, brussel sprouts overcooked as well. The chicken poblano soup was nice a bit bland for me. I added hot sauce and enjoyed it. The Ashville chicken sandwich was large, attractive but again sadly bland. No spices, a side of saracha honey kept it passable. The favorite part of the meal was the fried green tomatoes! A dash of salt and perfect! Service was good and the drinks were fine! Great location too.

Tupelo Honey was such a great experience! The shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious, perfect for a first-timer, and the goat cheese addition was truly chef’s kiss. If you get chilly easily, I’d recommend asking for a table away from the windows because it can get a bit cold. And of course, the sweet potato pancakes were amazing as always.

We have been meaning to come here for a long time and now wish we had sooner! The food was so flavorful and was served quickly. Loved the outdoor seating options and chill atmosphere. The only downside was that they don’t do anything special for birthdays.
