I opted to sit downstairs at one of the “original bars” in the area. When I asked how long the bar had been open for I was told “forever”. The ambiance is amazing- very cozy and warm. The service and food were outstanding. Great charcuterie! Amazing lobster tortellini- and the Buddha bowl with the ahi tuna was hardy and delicious! Extremely healthy and fulfilling

Went on the coldest night of year. Needed to keep coats on it was that cold in dining area. Carbonara was mostly pasta-very little pacentta and not enough sauce. One positive was waitstaff friendly and prompt. Seems to be a place on the downhill….

Restaurant: Delicious cocktails and the menu seems to be seasonal. I enjoyed the friendly welcoming staff. Entrée’s we’re decent size. I did the hand cut ribeye. Was a decent cut and refueled me after a long day on the slopes. Will be back.

Really enjoy this place, provided you get a table in the pub. The ambience there is really cozy, and the food is very well prepared. The owners are very friendly and mingle with the diners frequently, inquiring how everything is. It’s very clear they enjoy owning this inn and restaurant. Definitely a great recent addition to the Mad River Valley

The new owners have taken this from a backup choice to a top choice for dinner in The Valley. The deck is perfect for dinner outside and food is nicely prepared. We’re fans.

Visited here in March 2017. We ate an early dinner and practically had the place to ourselves. Such a cozy, quaint atmosphere….quintessential Vermont. We were seated by the fire, and the owner and the server spent time chatting with us. The owner greets every customer as they walk in. The meal was outstanding. I ordered the bok choy and my husband had the scallops. They have heady topper ipa, which is a challenge to find, even in Vermont where it is brewed. With dinner, drinks, and dessert we were pleasantly surprised when we received our check. One of our best meals and dining experiences while in Vermont.
