Not sure if our bartender was new, but we stopped here for a to-go margarita to walk around on the Strand. Bartender took quite a while to make the drink. Just seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing. It was one of the poorest margaritas I’ve ever had. Super sugary/syrupy, couldn’t even taste tequila and then tasted like salt had been dumped in there-not just on the rim. For a tequila bar, we were pretty disappointed.

Stopped by while the Astros game was on. Asked if they were still doing the $1 drafts while a local team’s game was on TV, sadly the bartender said no. Settled for a pitcher, we still had a good visit.

Credit card scam beware. Was charged twice for the same amount and bartender claimed my card didn’t go through first time. He said something weird about Amex but my card has been used multiple times at that location already.

We were spending three days in Galveston, visiting several restaurants and bards, and our experience here (at this bar) was the best. I tried to catch the names of the bar tenders on staff, but I forgot. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We went to several restaurants and bars in the area and this was the spot we felt the most welcomed. On top of the amazing service, the drinks were fantastic – strong and delicious.

Cool place. Definitely need to improve their speed. Hire more people, add an extra person to weekend shifts, either way. Could be way better. Not to mention. Pool closed? Lame. Bar tenders don’t wear a mask so don’t get me started on covid…

Considering we’re in a middle of the pandemic, this establishment is quite small in terms of the space, which somewhat hurts the whole purpose of social distancing. I was at the back of the bar watching few of my friends playing pool, so I wasn’t a part of the crowd(I was being cautious due to COVID), but the front and the bar section got too crowded – no mask, no social distancing, just disregarding from reality of the pandemic. I had to leave the place.

A dive bar. We went for specialty Margaritas since this was in the top 5 list. I think the list should be updated, Margaritas are kinda an afterthought at this place. Nothing special here, asked for sugar rim they didn’t have any. The sticky drink menu stated they had both salt and sugar. With only 3 people in the place it still took a few minutes to get service. Lucky lounge has great margaritas for half the price

This was a great find while visiting the Strand. Good selection of tequilas and super friendly bartenders. My wife and I visited here and came back the very next day because we enjoyed it so much.
