The restaurant was a great spot for lunch with friends. We were happy to find that they offer really good lunch specials at a reasonable price, and the food was fresh and delicious. We especially enjoyed the speedy and friendly service. While the inside was a bit dark and there was limited outdoor seating, we had a good time and will definitely be back.

Ambience here is phenominal. Cute little fish tank and not too bright. The dishes have excellent presentation, and always live up to my expectations taste wise. The portions are perfect and there are plenty of options. I recommend the cooked sushi rolls or hibachi.

I had an outstanding experience at Tsunami in Sarasota! The hibachi-style dinner showcased impressive kitchen prep and cooking skills. Even as a non-sushi fan, I found their sushi options delectable. Very good experience at Tsunami Downtown Sarasota, we had the Sumo roll and the lobster roll and they were tasty, also sashimi was fresh.
Service was friendly and the ambiance was relaxed but elegant.

Update: we just had dinner at Tsunami Sushi again and their service once again has been top-notch. This time our server was Keira (I think that may be how it’s spelled) and she was very sweet, attentive, polite, and funny.

Best sushi I’ve had in a while. Service was great and catered to our pace. Started with the lobster and crab rangoons. HOLY MOLY. If that is up your alley, please order. After talking with our server, he mentioned that it is one of their employees’ only jobs, and I can definitely tell it is made with love. Best rangoons I’ve had. As far as sushi goes… mango definitely goes on sushi! Also appreciated the presentation with the orchid on top. I enjoyed this meal so much, left feeling full and happy!!

We were greeted by the staff as soon as we walked in and the hostess Elizabeth brought us to the table
The Laminated menus were a little cheesy but that’s a minor detail they can fix easily. Our waitress Arine took our drink orders right away and gave us a rundown of some of the appetizers. In the background there was a great violinist playing music which I found very enjoyable. Our hostess came back around to suggest some appetizer platters. Overall the food was delicious and the portions were pretty big so we ended up taking food home. The manager Jason came by to introduce himself and gave us some dessert suggestions but the fried cheesecake was my favorite.
I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other rolls. They had a huge selection and very tasty combinations. Overall I highly recommend this place however make sure you make reservations because it is a small intimate location that seems to get very busy and is no wonder given how great the sushi was.

This was my second time at Tsunami and they were my introduction to sushi. The server was really great at explaining the menu and pointed out items that met my needs. The Double J and Georgia rolls are great for first timers who aren’t ready to try raw seafood or anything spicy. Other people in my party had the Salmon Love and Nemo rolls and he loved them. It can get busy at night so a reservation is good. Also they have live music on busy nights like a violinist and a guitarist. Definitely will be back again and again!

We had an amazing experience! We ordered the Paradise Sushi and the Hibachi with Filet Mignon & Shrimp, and both were absolutely delicious. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the hibachi was cooked to perfection—the filet mignon was tender, and the shrimp had just the right amount of seasoning.
The atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent. We definitely plan on coming back soon! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great sushi and hibachi.
