Couldn’t pick “zero stars”- I went here because I was working out of town, but make no mistake. It will not happen again. I heard the steak was good, and I get my steak well done and you can make a really good well-done steak. Well, let me tell you, for $40 I got absolute garbage. From what little of the steak I could actually eat towards the center it was excellent, The sauce was good, the sides were good, but the steak was garbage. The kitchen manager told me that’s just a well-done steak and that’s how their steak is, I informed him that I have had better cooked steaks out outback or Longhorn….. I could actually teach any bum off the street to make a good well done steak better than what I had the misfortune of ingesting tonight. I don’t like being this type of customer, but as far as I am concerned, don’t waste your money.

Lived in Bowling Green area forever, finally decided to try this place. Very nice, quaint, little establishment. There is not a lot of seating and very pretty tight. The pretzel sticks were smoking hot and delicious. The cheese sauce was great as well. The side salads were good. They actually had greens, NOT iceberg. The steak and mushrooms were the star of the dinner. Steal was cooked perfectly and had a great taste. The French fries were better than most. Why not 5 stars? The mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The coleslaw could have been really good, but it was 65 percent dressing 35 percent slaw. It was just drowning and not very appealing. Also, for these kind of prices, I would have expected instant mashed potatoes. They were very bland. I would come back again, just no coleslaw or mashed potatoes

The food is a lot better than we thought it would be. I ordered a simple grilled chicken sandwich and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The service is quick and the workers are friendly. We came during a slow part of the day and it took less then 20 to be seated, get drinks, put in our order and get out food. Wonderful.

Underwhelming dinner. My husband really did not like their signature sauce that they covered the steak in. He said it tasted like vinegar and ruined the flavor of the meat. Also, the margarita I ordered was NOT good. I left it at the table. We won’t be going back :/

I’m a longtime Trotters fan, all the way back to the original owners; they’d be sorely disappointed. My friend’s steak was just plain tough, and mine was tender inside once i sawed (literally) through the charred, rock hard surface with my serrated knife. This place is waiting to fail, and i’ll never go back.

Missed a flight from Chicago to Cleveland so had to drive home. Thought make a pit stop to Trotters for a couple brown jugs. Been years looked on the website close at 10. Arrived at 8:30 and turned us away said they were closing early today they felt like going home: what a disappointment. My favorite place ever just crushed me. Wont ever come back. Maybe the John and Judy’s Trotters in Toledo is the place to go now. Oh well still have great memories.

You can do better in dning options in Bg. Steak was pretty tough for size and price. Wife’s salmon was very good. Entrees come with a.salad choice and side. Both good . When your signature offering, The brown jug steak, is not very good the rating has to reflect that.
