As you can see from the picture below that this order was a very underwhelming experience. I really wanted a smoothie, but decided to also get lunch. I seasoned the sweet potatoes with pepper once I got home. I could taste the maple a little little bit, but it was still a bit too bland. The flatbread was OK, but I also added some vinaigrette dressing to make it taste a little bit more lively. The smoothie I ordered was pretty good.
Most of my limited stars are for the customer service. I guess the staff doesn’t really speak a lot of English, which is fine and all just maybe not for a customer service facing role where the majority of the people you will come across speak English. When I walked in, they took way too long, acknowledging me or even coming up to me. I’m now seeing the other reviews that people have posted after purchasing and hopefully management actually tries to make some changes. I was surprised they lasted this long.

Gm I been coming to this place every since I got my gastrobypass in 2023 the smoothies and the food is soooooo great and the people that work for the company is amazing I love it because I really don’t have to tell them what I want every time I come at 7 they have it all ready for me so please whoever there boss is always know you have a amazing and wonderful team thanks so much for the wonderful support and service.

I love tropical smoothie but this location is the worest It’s my second time coming to this location and they are worest. I ordered super green wrap and smoothie. The wrap is horrible two chicken only inside the wrap n it’s very disgusting how they make it and the smoothie is full of ice and water. I am very disappointed. I will never ever go to this location because it’s making me to hate all tropical smoothie.

Update as of 9/30/2020 – I deleted my previous August post because After speaking with the owner Alex today & reviewing my Uber Eats past orders, he is correct. My order went to the (Arlington) location instead of (Arlington Blvd) which I totally didn’t realize until I spoke with him today. What a goof I was for not recognizing the location before I posted the now deleted 2 star comment, but at the time I wasn’t happy. I will definitely not make that mistake again. I publicly apologize to Alex and Jo. I changed my stars from 2 back to 5 b/c this location deserves it! The owner will respond and try to correct any mistake made by himself or his team. Thank you for responding and researching. I will continue to support. Tropical Smoothie! This location(6134 Arlington Blvd.), the Detox Green smoothie & Totally Turkey are the BEST & my favorites! Thanks!

Come here often and it’s getting worse, seems like there is no management whatsoever, my quesadilla was pure onion only in 1 slice, only chicken in the next, no smoothie coz it was not bought out, really slack on everything. Had to send back the smoothie as the unblended chunks would not go up the straw! Time to fire the management and train the staff!

I usually like Tropical Smoothie, but this location is really bad. Smoothies are flavorless and watery. Recommend you skip this one and try one of the many other smoothie spots in Falls Church.

I’ve hesitated to do so, but I have to update from 5 stars to only 2 as this location as really had an unfortunate drop in quality. The ‘final straw’ was that my salad bowl today had only stems of lettuce (no leaves), and it was rotten in the middle – brown, squishy, rotten lettuce stems. I first noticed that there was an odd smell before realizing the problem. It was tough to get a good photo, but attached the best I could do. The portion sizes have gotten smaller but are not unreasonably small or anything. The staff usually isn’t as friendly as previous staff were but are not rude or unprofessional.
Positives are that it’s still very fast service, the smoothies really are good, and typically the food is pretty decent.
Keeping it 2 stars because there are definitely things that are okay, just a lot of room to get back to the previous quality.

When I walked in there was no line, one guy came in behind me, Ordered my smoothie, cashier asked if it was for here or to-go, I said to-go, but then laughed because all the smoothies are to-go, blank stare from cashier and some explanation about why she asked. I headed to bathroom (gross and no paper towel) when I came out the line was growing. The guy who had ordered after me got his two smoothies and sandwich, then two other patrons after him got their smoothies. I finally inquired where my smoothie was, the cashier, gave me a blank stare, said there are only 3 of us, and I said I ordered before the last 4 people who got their order, again blank stare and then, “Well she’s fixing to make yours now.” Waited a few more minutes and finally got my smoothie. The smoothie wasn’t even made correctly, didn’t have ginger. I LOVE Tropical Smoothies, I get them all the time, but would NOT recommend this location to anyone. The staff attitude and appearance of the store make it a big thumbs down, not in line with the Tropical Smoothie brand.

Second time oredered smoothie here and very disappointed. Ordered mango magic, but it turned out to be “fruit flavor” slush. I mainly go one in centreville and chantilly, and their smoothie taste like “real fruit” smoothie. Very this appointed.franchise manager should do a surprise visit and check their fruit quality.
